  1. Now before you dislike the video and immediately hate on me for technically bashing on Intel in this video…. please understand that I've been an Intel fanboy since 2016. This has been one of the most difficult decisions in my entire PC gaming experience. That's why I tried to fix this issue for over 2 MONTHS with no change what so ever…. Just a massive bummer overall.

  2. Vcore is incorrect in the mother board bios. Reset bios or change vcore manually. Make sure you aren’t running 1.5 volts 1.32v Motherboard may run its default wrong. You mentioned undervolting but then mentioned mhz when undervolting is millvolts so Iam thinking you may didnt use bios correctly.

  3. You have no idea man. AMD is not bad, but you can not compare the i9-13900K with it, and no its not too hot. You just need a 360mm Water cooler which can handle a TDP up to 320W, then you are fine. I actually found one. Its the Deepcool LT720, PL1 and PL2 are set to 4096 (not limited) and with CPU stress test and Benchs i have max 92 Temp. Normal Temp is 40, Gaming is 65-75. Even Temp above 85-90 is very fine. No thermal throttling since Deepcool LT720 and i have the power i need.

My Brother got the newest AMD X3D and his CPU only use 100W and while gaming or even Bench he got 65 Temp, which is awesome, but its not the strongest one for the price.

  4. you could undervolt your cpu a little bit and set a fixed frequency in the bios limiting it to 4,6ghz for example which would make it much cooler, current gen intel is just pushed to the limit with high voltages

  5. Agreeing with all i’m waiting for a 7950x build myself but your PC is very ‘cornered’ you should leave even more breathing room especially at the back exhaust you should leave at least 7 inches breathing room from the wall. My old setup i9-9940x 2080ti then 3060ti (although idle for cpu was 27 degrees gpu 50 degrees it still pushed out a lot of heat) how’s the ryzen setup doing in terms of idle/performance temps ?

  6. Something is definitely wrong… Or your coltage controller is freaking out or bend cpu/socket. Easyest option is contact frame if you say that you adjusted the voltage settings manually. Or something is wrong with your cooler. Contact frame install is VERY easy and cheap and fixes your possible issue i hope. Thermal grizzly contact frame is more expensive but with the added stripes its almost impossible to install it wrong. I get 60-65 during gaming 70max with cheap aio unlocked settings standard voltage. I really hope you trie the contact frame if you still have the 13900k, really curious if that fixes it 🙂

  7. Something is not right in your BIOS probably. I have the 13900k and it's the coolest cpu i've ever had. 41 degrees celsius in the summer with no ac in the room. doesn't go over 60 even when rendering in Premiere Pro and I am only using an NZXT Z63, no contact frame or anything. Your CPU is getting too much power. No AIO is going to cool 300-400w. Mine is getting 254w in full load, never more.

  8. I have a mini PC with Intel on it. Let me tell you… It crashes constantly! It was the skullcayon nuc. Yes I know it's old, but I had a MacBook pro 2015 with amd graphics. Worked like a charm got what I wanted to do. Intel works better for mac for some god damn reason…. But I had every single bad experience with an Intel machine Windows.

  9. your fans running at full speed is a fan curve issue. And your cpu overheating like that is not normal. You might have a bad mount, or your motherboard isn't running it at stock intel specs.. multi-core enhancement is a factory OC, disable that. If that that doesn't fix it, then you might have gotten a defective solder TIM in between the IHS and the cpu die. You can check this by looking at core-core deltas, anything above 10c delta suggests bad tim. I have a 12900k, and it never hits 70c in games. It's always in the 50s. The 13900k should run even cooler at a given clock speed compared to the 12900k because of the higher silicon quality. There is 100% something wrong, I'm telling you that it's NOT normal. The radiator size doesn't matter up to a point for cpus. 360mm is fine, it's the MOUNT that matters for your cpu. The thermal transfer from the die to the cooler is the bottleneck, not the radiator surface area. You said it pulls 400w of power?!?! That's not normal at all, your mobo is overvolting the shit out of it. I think it could be a defective cpu since you already tried undervolting. Delid it. Or try another one.

I have also seen aios run their pump speed too low. Especially the ones that require software to run correctly.. it might be a pump speed issue. You need the pump running at 3000rpm for good cooling.

  10. Open the Taskmanager, sort the Processes by CPU usage and find out what is causing that much CPU load! Also check if the manufactrer forgot to remove the foliage from the CPU or Cooler before fitting the thermal paste …

  11. hows the stability of the 7950x now? im considering swapping my 7800x3d for a 13900kf but not sure if its the right move or not!

have seen loads of issues for AM5

  12. Have you tried thermal grizzle CPU contact frame? Maybe this was the problem in your case. Generally speaking it's as hot as it can be. I was so close buying one 13900K but after this video i am reconsidering a lot.

  13. Get the aftermarket bracket. I have the same cpu with a 4090 and im only using a 240 aio. I' m under 60 doing small tasks. Only playing flight simulator with max 4k settings have I been getting heat issues.

  14. I can totally understand your problem. same issue :/. 13900k just gets way too hot without OC! I installed an O11 Dynamic Evo with a NZXT Kraken Z73 360mm aio with 6 fans and only for the Aio. So a total of 13 fans in the hope that I don't have to let them run @ full speed. Even a contact frame is installed. I was well informed on the internet, to avoid problems with the cooling… and still reach my 100 C while playing …

  15. not inte'l fault but motherboards manufacturers who push the things to max power limit all the time just out of the box. AMD 7XXX series are not great ( I'm on AMD and great perf on 3XXX series and 5XXX series but the 7XXX is a fail).

  16. Negative that cooler looks good but heatsinks are far better. I also have a 13900k but I use a nh u12a and I hit 100c only for example running the last of us loading shading but after 87c to 56c but re4 80c- 70c

  17. Hey bud, my build is the following:
    .lian li dynamic evo
    .lian li 240mm AIO
    .Asus 3080
    .Asus z790-A
    .intel 13900k

When running Aida64 for CPU full load, I’m pulling

    170 watts average
    80c CPU Package Average

When running Aida64 for GPU full load, I’m pulling

    60 watts average
    60-65c CPU Package average

    When idle (just desktop)

    30 watts average
    45-50c CPU Package average

To get these temps I did have to change a settings in the bios, I had to change the default settings of the AI OC to keep with the CPU limit and change the SVID profile that essentially controls the CPU voltage to ‘trained’ instead of auto which will overvolt it by default leading to higher temps. Hope that helps.

  18. Hello …i also hv the same cpu …and yes am also going with the over heat issue…..in my case the cpu led on Asus z690a motherboard starts blinking when I put some heavy load on pc like rendering….and after sometime it crashes….what can b the issue….am not able to figure it out nor am getting proper guidance regarding it….do u hv this kind of issue ……

  19. Я недавно видел тест с использованием Undervolt, благодаря чему у i9 13900K упала температура, но без потери производительности.

  20. CPU temperature is irrelevant. Since a small pin head can be 4000F and still not heat up the room. It's about total power. Intel CPUs are power hungry. It's just the way it is. Want more efficiency go AMD.
