i have a 3080 ti, and have no intrest in upgrading for a couple years.
3080 and 4090 are the same cards
Hipyo? >_>
Barely any games worthy of having a gpu this powerful and thats before u factor in the price.
Grabbed the EVGA 3080 ti FTW in August 2022 for $1k. I am a big believer in waiting one generation before upgrading. Next time I’m going for the 5090.
Why the dislikes? I don't get it
Wait for 5080 with gddr7 vram guys. 3080 Ti is a behemoth still in 2023.
Rich own RTX 4090
Pros own RTX 3080 ti
Legends own GTX 1080 ti
i dont feel you spend enough time talking about the other components of the computer if im rocking a i7-7700k with 16gb ram running at 2400 mhz would i see any difference at all or would my computer be so limited theyd both be the same?
My 3080 ti went pop after a year, refunded now got a 4090 for a few quid more for mainly vr stuff.
The vram for most people is gonna be another factor since a lot of new games are gonna be using it. So either get the 3090 or ti or the 4090 if you never had the rtx series. Vram is starting to be a thing and not to mention 32gb of ram needed.
my 3080ti is a gem but man that 4090 is busted im gonna buy one 😂
hmmm might mess around and sell a kidney for the 4090
I just upgraded from the 3080 ti to the 4090.. omg what a difference in fps in 4k… Love it.. but no the price is crazy… But i needed the vram for vr
X570 ACE, gtx 1070, r9 3900x , Seasonic 750W +80plat , 16GBs. Question is – I have a choice between 3080 and 3080ti. Both are huge upgrades but im wondering which one to get ( prices are not that far away so I can get the 3080ti but considering my specs should I get a 3080? )
Even looking at the differences between the 4090 and my 3080ti, I still can't justify the price. Coming from over 20 years straight of console use, anywhere in the 30-60 fps area is plenty for me when playing something like single player games. Since it's relatively easy to get my 3080ti to 4k@60 (in most games) by tweaking some settings, there's no need to upgrade. That, and my display is the bottleneck at the moment being 4k@60hz. I'll be great for the next 5 years or so considering how and what I like to play.
When they stop melting I'll think about it
Bro I got a question,I’m new this pc world and with these new amd n I Nvidia gpus selling for a leg n a arm in considering buying a used 3080 ti for $600 and my question is,what parts should I buy to make the best pc for gaming and productivity for 2023. And would the new 3D amd CPU pair up great with it or buy new amd or a new Nvidia gpu?
My 3080 ti on water hits 2300mhz all day! No reason to upgrade yet
is 3080 ti strix worth to buy right now?
will just wait for 5000 cards i don't think it worth to upgrade from 3080 ti
Honestly might go with the 4090 since it'll be my first build. My old pc is a prebuilt and 5 years old
Wait, half as small means twice the size… I feel like people are generally really confused about language when it comes to this sorta scenario. This one was easy to catch, but most often, I'm just confused, wondering if the author is confused or accurate, because it isn't as obvious as this bit of confusion.
Built my first PC this time last year: 5800x, Samsung 980 Evo pro, 3080 ti and loved it so much
A bit disappointed that the 4090 & 4080 came out so soon after my gpu and a lil disappointed that my setup only really allows me to use my 240hz monitor to full capacity for a few games but building this rig was just my first experience:) looking forward to future builds when my PC will draw roughly the same watts as my house haha
Coming from a 3070, I upgraded to the 3080 TI. Managed to get an awesome deal on an open boxed unit. I just want to play today’s games at max 1440p settings
i gotta give him one thing hes right tho… the fact that the 4090 is a beast… he got that fact right and the fact it has double the ram…. XD but i mean its writen on the box… so if u had that wrong ur might as well watch a rick roll video XD
Best answer to that question is if you need to. If your struggling to run games at medium to low settings. Whaaat? Heck no that 3080 ti kills everything at 1440p and 4k at high settings. There is now need to upgrade unless you wanna blow your mulla and have bragging rights.
Upgraded my 1080ti to a 3080ti for 600usd. Wanted a 4090 but they are selling for around 2000 here. Fuck that.
I only play my games at 4K, and my target for for fps is 120hz to 144hz. So it only makes sense to get a 4090. But I will wait until we get a proper cpu to pair with the 4090.
i run a 5900x with 32gb at 3600 cl16 with a 3080 ti, certianly no need for an upgrade for some time yet, i have a 10th gen i7 with a rx 6800 for the kids and even thats great at 1080, with fsr and dlss, most 6800s and higher or even 3070 and higher will be great for some time
Home rig for flight sims has the faster proc/ram/board etc and a 3080 ti. I must be a mutant or 1% because I don't like 4K unless its videos. On DCS/ MSFS it looks like great game graphics all liquidy, polished, small… but not realistic. Visited Nephew who is broke buying the latest/greatest who put his 4090 on a CC and on 4k it probably is faster somehow, somewhere and in some places but to my 1080P eyes its not fluid and looks like Avatar. He will probably be still paying off this card when he dumps it for the 5080? because like a lot he is hopelessly insecure about his card size and that he might miss something.
