Ryzen 7950X DESTROYS In Benchmark | RTX 40 Architecture Leak & Nvidia Teases Announcement

Some more Zen 4 benchmarks, this time for the Ryzen 7950X, and the flagship Ryzen 7000 CPU DESTROYS in this leaked performance result. With the recent results for the Zen 4 7700X and 7600X showing AMD may have been SANDBAGGING, it seems Ryzen 7000 processors are shaping up to be very impressive indeed, at least in synthetic performance benchmark results. But what about gaming performance? And just how will Intel Raptor Lake compare?

We also have some updates for RTX 40, including some exclusive info on RTX Lovelace’s architecture and what those improvements mean for the specs and performance, and Nvidia themselves have spoken on GPU pricing and teased an official announcement.

  1. Have not had a choice budget wise. RX6600XT cost me AUD$770 and I recently updated to a 5900X for AUD$570. Plan to skip a few iterations and update gpu next year. Not going AM5 until 2024. Don’t game btw. Casual Video editing mainly.

  2. Tbh, I have a Ryzen 3700X with some fast RAM and I don't even see a need to upgrade for at least a couple more years, may as well make my upgrade count when I end up doing it

  3. You're comparing 16 core vs 8 core, 24 vs 16 …lmbo. Final product vs engineering sample with 'leaked' numbers etc etc. This data is irrelevant, only good for a what if type discussion.

    Working for User Benchmark now?

  4. Why would you think that the 7950X, the CPU that very few of us will buy, is the one which we would be most interested in?! You should be telling us that we SHOULD be more interested in the 6 and 8 core models :/

There's already way too many people buying unnecessarily high core-count CPUs as it is, don't encourage us any more! We have an addiction to cores, and most of us don't even want to admit it! XD

  5. My CPU RYZEN 5900x I only do 1080p gaming so the card I bought to pare with the 5900x is the RTX 3060 i am fine with that I will NOT spend more than $400 on a GPU ever.

  6. I am of the same thought process, if you are already gaming at 4K,.. You are waiting to see what the Next gen GPU's do more than you are thinking about upgrading to a New platform.. Which will take at least 3 BIOS revisions before it's totally stable.. I just built a new AM4 system like 5 months ago as soon as prices started to drop.. I think I'll be ok with a 5900X for another 5 years with a GPU up grade in like 3 years.. I have a 6800XT for now, and honestly it's a beast of a card. These cards are already in some games 10% faster than they were at their launch just through driver improvements.. DX11 games have improved up to 30% depending on the games.. So I'll will be good for a while..

  7. I believe the 7700X will be the Chip that most people go after for gaming and streaming the most. I hear the 7800X is going to be a 10 core which if that came in at a $500 price point that would be perfect. But I really think these parts are going way up in price..

  8. I cant help thinking that this is all leading up to the release of Insanity Lake Architecture and RTXX 80xx 1000 watt Lalapalooza Core. No matter the content, I always get the feeling that I am listening to an Intel/Nvidia fanboy.

  9. zen architecture wasn't designed to use ddr5 memory system is not the same as ddr4…latency on fabric is too high for ddr5….only intel architecture is running the right latency when signals from it is base same method since haswell…memory bus is not share with cpu latency when cpu latency is very low…its not an issue, an hardware limitation from core architecture that required rewrite entire architecture to run latest memory and pcie systems ..its why intel did it the right way first in order to stay on top on the benchmark ..also, avx512 is very badly implement on zen4 architecture for any usage beside emulation that force cpu run beyond 230w is not worth the trouble to run medicore ps3 games that really hindrance pc games performance ..also i am really disappointed that nintendo is forcing every studio to use denuvo security for the switch library titles that prevent running on linux and windows emulators by same method use on linux wine emulation layer that turn every game into black screen of death due to piracy detection from os layer is not detecting hardware OS and drivers

  10. All that CPU-Z benchmark tells me is that the person doing the benchmarking doesn't have a fucking clue as to how to configure (NOT OVERCLOCK) Ryzen CPUs.

For the 5950X CPU-Z multicore benchmark for instance he should be getting AT LEAST 13,520. With a 7950X he should be scoring well above 19,000.

In CineBench R23 he should be scoring over 31,000 with a 5950X.

Wait for the reviews? The tech media and tech Youtubers have been either too lazy or too stupid (and that includes you Paul) to figure out how to properly configure 3rd/4th Gen Ryzen after three years, I really doubt their ability to tell anyone anything interesting when 5th Gen Ryzen finally comes out.

  11. How does the i9-9900K at 5Ghz stack up in a singles core app like MSFS2020? I’m looking to upgrade my RTX-2080Ti Kingpin Hybrid to a RTX-4090Ti and wonder should I also up the CPU? Also, I’m sporting 32GB TeamForce 4400 Ram. Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

  12. Personally, I will be building an all-AMD main PC by the end of the year and I think AMD is offering the best value for money at this time.

After 5 years of using my old main PC, going from i5 6600K + GeForce 1060 to Zen 4 7950X + RX 7800XT is the best option for the next 3-4 years, for software development, music production, and gaming/3D rendering.
I will be happy to punish Intel and Nvidia and not give them a single dollar of my money for this generation.

    But that's just me. 🧐☝🤷

  13. I have an RX6800XT and an R7 1800X, so a ( by modern standards) somewhat weedy CPU, however, I run at 4K so a more powerful CPU might help but probably won't be a major boost

  14. Can someone explain why anyone would go with an AMD 7700X over an Intel 13700K?
Price wise they are virtually identical according to leaks at around $600ish (Canadian dollars)..

But 4:00 shows that the 13700K is simply better and in Multicore it's nearly 50% faster/more performance.. It beats it at single thread as well (important for gaming).

Maybe it consumes more power, but the big power draw happens mostly when OC. As far as I understand it.. In any case 50% more performance multicore for the same price.

  15. Ive been waiting 2 years for 5nm to upgrade my 8700K/1080ti hopefully to roughly double my fps for about the same power draw (hopefully less) to compliment my off grid gaming life with limited battery power. The 4070 and 7600x might be exactly that for me, I haven't been this interested in the pc world since the 1080Ti came out. I'd better start saving.

  16. *whar if amd's benchmarks were just the laptop variant?…I don't really trust any of these numbers anyway, but..that would be great for amd…I think intel is looking good again finaly..considering to use either cpu you will need almost a full system upgrade anyway.

  17. I need to build completely new PC. Now thinking to wait for 7900X3D (if comes out) and pair with 4080. Then maybe 5 years later upgrade to last AM5 CPU model. But will see.

  18. Amd 7950X Destroys …Amd 5000 OK OK….INTEL TAKES THE LEAD AND IT'S NOT A WASTE OF SAND …. for a moment I thought Amd was crashing Intel… but Nope INTEL BETTER. UNFORTUNATELY INTEL STILL ALIVE, AND FOR MANY YOUTUBERS ITS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT…..

  19. Do we know for sure that AM5 will cap out at 16 cores? It seems to me that since it looks like there will be no new regular Threadripper, 24 core or 32 core Ryzens would fit in nicely. And would absolutely kill in productivity but probably not so much in gaming due to lower frequencies.
