Starlink Satellite Internet – Unboxing and Setup – Super Easy!!!

We upgraded from a cellular smart-hub to Starlink Satellite, and what an upgrade it is. We went from 10-20 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up to 250-50 Mbps down and 20-10 Mbps up, making YouTube uploads faster and downloads of video and webpages a non-issue. It’s worth it.

  1. I guess if you don't have cable or fiber, it's a good option. I get unlimited 350 Mbps internet from my local cable provider for $80.00/month. And yes, it works in power outages for at 24 hours anyway. Starlink wants $600 for the equivalent and $120/month for much slower speed, but because of the latency, gaming is not a good experience with StarLink.

  2. Excellent presentation. I do have 2 questions: 1) Does phone service come included in the home internet service. 2) If you install the dish on top of your house, what will you do about snow buildup on it?
    Thanks,
    Ben Pellom

  3. I had Hughes Net (UGH) and then switched to DSL (Semi-Ugh!) I live in a rural area on a hill, with no trees on my property, but wooded areas across the road and up a hill. My question is: I still have the Hughes Net pole and dish-they only wanted the camera back when I closed the account – so could I possibly use that pole to mount the Starlink dish to?

  4. Before you buy, your should know that Starlink can only be contacted by messaging them through their app. No other way to contact them. No 800 number, no email, no chats, and they seldom reply in a timely manner. I'm guessing the average time or them to reply is four or five days. It wasn't unusual for them to take a week or more to reply to my messages. Do yourself a favor and forget about Starlink. If you think you will NEVER need technical support or customer service, go for it. But if your system ever goes down, good luck getting it back up. You are in for a frustrating nightmare.

  5. Its been a year since you uploaded this video. What is your take(opinion) on Starlink? Do you still use this internet service? Do you recommend it? I live Central Michigan rural location. What about snow? Do you have to clean the snow off it all the time?

  6. All AI dependent with no service. I received my equipment and it failed in a few days. They sent me more equipment but sent to wrong address 8 hours away from me. After 30 more days they sent more equipment. It has been 4 days and I still cannot get a connection. The security key was not included with new equipment. There is no security key on my windows network connection, I tried the numbers on bottom of modem. So, It has been 2 months since I bought Starlink and I have had 5 days of service

  7. Great video and instructions . Thank you very much. Do you think there will be problems with the satellite antenna over a long time? Because it always has to realign itself and the mechanism could eventually break down after some years or so.

  8. Can anyone explain why I can NOT order Starlink from the Starlink web site. It continually tells me : Something went wrong on our end. Please wait and then try again. when I try to order. Thanks in advance.

  9. Thanks for keeping it simple and straight. I noticed nothing like screws were used to affix the base to its support. So how would one ensure the base is tightly fixed to maintain a firm hold of the dish? What's the extension mechanism of the network?

  10. Happy I found your channel! Looking forward to watching more of your content. I’m considering switching from telus hub to starlink too. There’s been a lot of crazy storms in Alberta this summer!! Would I be running outside all the time to cover the panel so it doesn’t get smashed?

  11. I was a microwave technician (Master Sargent) in the USAF in 1974. Based on the radio frequencies STARLINK uses, it won't work in North America more than about 78% of the time (based on National Weather service reports)receiving dish

  12. Still sucks that the equipment price when we first signed up was $499 and the monthly was going to be $105 a month…..2 1/2yrs later when our turn finally came the equipment was up to $549, $50 shipping fee, and it’ll be $120 a month. We almost changed our minds with the price but we’re so desperate for good internet we caved and went for it lol

  13. Our place in line FINALLY came up. We’ve only been waiting since February 13, 2021 on the pre-order wait list!!!! 😂 Our box arrives tomorrow. With a 2 1/2yr wait I sure hope we get the awesome high speed it promises. We’ve been stuck with horrible internet from the one and only company that offered us a whole 10Gb on a good day lol…..speed test usually shows it going up and down between 1gb-7gb and upload oh lord we’re talking kbps…..one game can take almost 2 days to download. We are looking forward to having our apps and games run without lagging and our service constantly disconnecting when more than two people are connected at once. It’s going to be like Christmas around here! Fingers crossed 🤞

  14. I can't even get past the sign in for the Google Play app. Which means I cannot even start to install the hardware. I just keep getting "please sign in" messages. Sign in to WHAT? Until I 'sign in' it won't let me progress.

  15. Awesome video!! I just bought Starlink for my cabin north of Ft Smith NWT which now has coverage. Wondering if I need internet connection on my phone in order for the app to work? I obviously don't have that out there as to why I bought this. Also, how did you connect your tv to this, was it the $35 box you mentioned or do you mirror from a device. The Bell Mobility in Edmonton was a bit confusing, we have shaw in Edmonton, can I connect to that?

  16. Thanks for the video. Does it ask you the location when setting up. Thinking to buy it in Greece and bring it to Cyprus but it is not available in Cyprus yet but some people are saying it works everywhere?
