Google Pixel 9 Series – Major Overhaul, But There’s A Catch?

The Google Pixel 8 Series was barely released a few months ago, so I’m sure some of you will assume it’s probably too early for rumors already, but that’s not really the case this time. Trust me if this was some bogus source I wouldn’t spend my time building a video, but since this is OnLeaks renders on MySmartPrice we’re talking about, let’s just say this could lead to something credible. I’m Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow and let’s dive in to what we just learned about the Google Pixel 9 series.

  1. 6.1 size is already dead; you can't fill in with flagship features in that small, compact phone. Anything above 6.3 makes sense for flagship

Also, Google wastes time on changing designs every year.

Pixel 6 and 8 Pro have the best designs; they should probably have kept Pixel 6 designs for 3 or 4 years and then 8 Pro designs for another 4 years and probably research on the quality of materials, colours, and hardware.

this process would have kept the pixels much stronger in global market. competing with Samsung and the iPhone.

  2. AM I correct in thinking that Google is an American company? So why not make them in the USA. Or in fact in Europe. Stop All the issues with trading through the Red Sea and Suez canal?

  3. i dont understand the hate on the tensor chips. they might be slower on paper but in reality there isn't a noticeable difference. they run smooth, cool, and fast enough to keep up with everyday needs. the only people who are going to care are spec sheet worriers that need a reality check.

  4. Amazing how even Samsung knows that the Snapdragon chipset is better than the Samsung Exynos, so they use Snapdragon in their best flagships. Yet Google is using a Exynos base design chipset… And Samsung is laughing taking a huge chunk of the high end smartphone market, by selling their phones with Snapdragon.
    Unbelievable.

If Google would just use the best SOC in the game, they would easily double their sales in 1 year

  5. I was expecting a slightly rounded rectangular camera module like on the Fold. This pill-shaped one doesn't gel well with the overall design. Also the edge looks sharp just like the current ones 🫤

  6. My past three phones have been one Nexus phone and two Pixel phones. I'm probably going away from the crowd here but i have no intentions of getting a phone with a smaller screen size. I would honestly be happy if it was a little larger. I'll switch manufacturers if they shrink the screen and this 7pro dies during the smaller 9pro's time on the market.

  7. I have owned more Android phones than iPhones and I know that android manufacturers introduced a lot features now adopted by iPhone but when it comes to design you gotta hand it to Apple, they dictated the landscape time and time again. When iPhone changes it's design you just know that a couple of years later all Android phones look similar, it happened at the beginning in 2007, it happened with glass backs, it happened with the bezelless screen and it's happening now with the boxy look. It's almost comical.

  8. will only go back to Pixel when they:

    1. Go back to TSMC/Snapdragon

    2. Video over usb-c (and desktop mode would be a nice feature along with it)

    3. Routines feature

  9. So have all phone developers given up on the idea of a front camera lens behind the front screen? It seems like Samsung and Google are content with a hole punch and, well…Apple has the Dynamic Island.

  10. Hi friend, is it possible that Google will add in the next future update the Phone Call Translate technology, i.e. the translation of calls in real time, it's like the Samsung S24 Ultra.

  11. Is it a Major overhaul if Google still lags behind the hardware of the iphone 15, S24 or One Plus 12? Making the Pixel 9 Look more like an iPhone without offering the hardware upgrades is weak. I've hung on to my Pixel 7 waiting for Google to pull their head out. But I'm not going to pay flagship pricing for less than flagship hardware.
