Qualcomm today (3/21) released its new generation Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor, which is the first product of the 7 series platform to introduce AI models. Based on TSMC’s four-nanometer process and adopting a “1+4+3” architecture, the largest core is an ARM Cortex-X4 CPU with a running clock of up to 2.8 GHz, paired with 4 A720 CPUs with a clock speed of 2.6GHz and 3 A720 CPUs with a clock speed of 2.8 GHz. It is composed of 1.9GHz A520 CPU and the graphics computing chip is Adreno 732 GPU. It has Wi-Fi 7 wireless networking and can support generative AI imaging, generative AI voice assistant and other related applications.
The processor platform supports a variety of AI models, including large language models (LLM), such as Gemini Nano, Baichuan-7B, Llama 2 and Zhipu ChatGLM.
