I really wanted to get a new 3 but it looks like I'll have to try to get a used Y for these dancer legs, Costco trips, and kid/s. Well kid, maybe another coming soon.

drove both Perf. models and now own the M3P. Very easy decision for me. From a fun factor standpoint M3 hands down. The MYP felt extremely numb and boring to drive for the performance spec it boasts. The M3 is a total different animal
This didn't help me at all. In a good way lol. One minute you had me wanting the 3 because of handling then the next i wanted the Y for the hight and not feeling like I'm sitting in the ground. So like you said at the end I'm going to have to test drive them. I had the 3 as a rental a couple weeks ago which is what brought me here today lol. However, my neighbor has the Y and it looks like it would be a better vehicle for me. We'll see once i test drive the Y. Great video!
As somebody that has both as well I would definitely say if you're going for the long range or standard versions of the car go with the Y because I feel like the overall comfortability is better but if you're going for the performance version I would definitely get the 3 as it handles way better and feels less janky at high speeds
I wish I could put the left side of the vent up and the right side down. That way I can cool my phone on my mount and put air on me too.
Not going to get another one after Tesla buys my YLR back under the Lemon Law for my A/C braking 3 times since I bought it Jan 27, 2023 (today is 8/11/2023).
I LOVE the model 3, it's just the space in the backseat that bothers me but that's really only it lol
So if they're over reporting the range, what are the real ranges? I would be in the same boat as your friend, where my commute is pretty long. How would I know what real expected take is, especially in a used model Y or model S? Those are the ones I like better.
Can I get away with using a model 3 for a family with 3 kids if I just intend to use model 3 for daily driving and occasionally pick up 3 kids from school?
Woah you’re taller than 6 ft and you didn’t find headspace in the rear of the Model Y an issue? I found that I couldn’t sit in my seat properly due to that massive bump in the roof hitting the back of my head.

3 easily! The Y kooks like a big egg with that bubble roof. Way too much! Plus the Y handling is poor because of its top heavy design.
I got my model Y for $47k for the basic range here in TX

Model 2 would wait 2 seater no glass woof and regular dashboard cheaper
Y, as I need a hatch for the dog 🐕 . If they made a model 3 hatch that would be perfect and I'd choose that .

To me it’s not worth the price for virtually the same vehicle.. if the model y was only a thousand or 2 more I’d choose it but the 3 wins for sure
