The Pixel 7 Pro is Google’s best pixel, yet. But is that enough in a world full of good phones?

  1. Great video as always Kevin. I'm new to the Pixel 7P and love many things about it. However, I'm a bit underwhelmed by the front facing cameras and noticed that my pixel 3XL outshines it in selfies. Like, wow Google, wow. WTF?? Any advice on this or should I try another pixel?
    Thanks for any advice.

  2. been an Android user since the beginning, and my one plus 7t Pro McLaren has been fantastic these last 3 yrs, but it's time for something new. I spent a few hours with my buddies 13 Pro Max and I have to say, the animations, especially the transitions from one task to another are beyond gorgeous and smooth as silk. At no point did the phone even have the slightest micro glitch while I was trying to do 10 things at once and see how the phone handled me sending an email, having a YT video paused, streaming a Netflix series, using voice typing to send an SMS etc etc doing my best to slow it down or freeze it up yet it took everything I threw at it and continued to operate absolutely beautifully.

And I don't normally do all that multitasking or anything like that but I was just giving it a test run and opening and closing apps and functions that I use constantly throughout the day and again everything was just fantastic.

And I really can't get over the animations when I pull up my recent apps, and can flip through them like a deck of cards, just like with Android, and swipe up to get rid of them, just the animation on those card style apps, I mean everything down to the edges of each card had me blown away.

And we're talking about the 13, whereas I am looking to get the new Pro Max with the iOS 16 bionic chip with that xdr retina display (yes I'm using words that I don't fully understand LOL) but I do know that I love the dynamic Island after seeing how convenient it truly is, and using it at a T-Mobile store. Obviously I was not able to use all its functions, and I can see how it will take some getting used to to have a black pill covering up a decent portion of my display, considering I'm coming from a phone that has not even a hole punch up front, but I'm sure I'll get used to it just like anything else.

But the two main functions I use are the voice to text which is what I'm using right now for this really long message LOL, as well as the voice assistant for either asking questions about people places or things, or telling it that I want to set a reminder, or set an alarm, or call this person or text to that person, and I can do all that while driving without having to even take my hands off the wheel. And I absolutely love the fact that the 14 pro Max gives you the option to use either OK Google or hey Siri, or Alexa as either one of your default voice assistants, and then I can decide which I prefer most and use that as my default.

Last play, even with my current Android phone I don't have any accessories whatsoever that are connected to my phone except my cheap Amazon universal earbuds that hang around my neck like a necklace, which can be used for Android or iOS, but I'll never have an issue being stuck within the Apple ecosystem because I don't use any accessories. No laptop, never connected my phone with my TV or any audio equipment, and all the other accessories that lock you into the Apple ecosystem. I'm not into constantly sending pictures of myself or whatever on social media, because I don't have Instagram or Twitter, and I don't even use my Facebook except to chat with one or two people on Messenger.
If anyone on here is actually read all this and has any advice to someone who is about to switch from Android to an iPhone 14 pro Max, Id really appreciate it.

And let's remember, I only am interested in the display, the ease of use in terms of going from one thing to the next as smoothly as possible. Watching streaming content, sending messages whether it be on SMS or Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger, as well as shopping on Amazon and sharing stuff whether it be pictures or links with other people.
Very very basic use, however I do use these basic functions throughout the day, and I want the best of those things like the display, the lack of freezing or glitching, good speakers, decent battery life, as little customization as possible. The Samsung 22 Ultra is just so damn bloated with apps and functions that it's ridiculous.
And for anyone who's going to reply and say that well Samsung is the one who builds iPhone displays. Well then all I can say to that is thanks to Samsung for creating such a fantastic display for the iPhone.

  3. is a good phone but have to work more to catch the galaxy s22 ultra, better display and brightness, zoom, multitasking ,spen, dex battery fast charging…

  4. It is definitely not the best portrait camera. Samsung, Apple, Vivo are much better than the pixel 7 pro. I don't know why can't they include a dedicated telephoto portrait camera when Vivo and samsung has done that or go the iphone route with removing the periscope in the favor of a proper portrait camera, Xiaomi has the same problem that even Mi 11 ultra and 12S ultra has poor portrait mode images.

  5. Switched from my s22 plus to Pixel 7 pro after 1 month still miss my s22 plus such a great phone it was the s22 plus the Pixel 7 pro was good too but not for me due to it's lack of interesting features and a buggy UI.

  6. The clip from Heymark was so beautifully cut & the images looked delightful. I wish that was my cut. Like you it's what I can shoot quickly so I don't miss it that matters (at least on my phone). It's also my quick note-taker for things I find or something I'm trying to fix.

  7. I recently switched from the 6 to the 7…the 7 is remarkably better in every way. I had a S21 ultra before the 6 and google still has a lot to catch up on especially with the screen. The new face unlock is nice but why the hell did they ditch the radar from the pixel 4xl? Google should really bring that back

  8. On the contrary….my biggest grip with the camera is the pictures are not sharp enough when I just point and shoot. I keep having to use the un-blur tool to sharpen my images. I hope an update addressing this issue is released soon. I had no issues with sharp images on my pixel 6 pro.

  9. Love my pixel 7 pro…. But it you game fps games like codm you'll be pissed it can't handle high graphics and frame rate. On par but not better than my old 1+ 7t

  10. Absolutely despise the camera bar and look. The pixel phone doesn't feel polished and premium just yet. They are moving in the right direction.

  11. So after watching more than 10 reviews of Pixel 7 Pro. This phone has so much compromises for its price of a flagman product… Somehow it feels like you are using 2018 model.. and we are almost 2023.. I've just bought Poco F3 256gb for 350 euro last year, and pixel 7 pro is sth like 900-1000 euro in Europe. I don't even see advantage in performance or video compared to Poco f3. So who is going to give extra 600 euro for just a 30% better photos? And nothing else. Cmon you can have your pretty images for social media with smartphones priced on 300-400 euro. The dynamic range, the possibilities to edit afterwards are enough on phones of this price range. So in high-end priced phones segment the real advantage should be VIDEO which is hard to correct or fix afterwards, it just should be good. And Pixel 7 Pro is really bad in terms of video.. EIS is worse than cheap Poco series. Cinematic mode is unusable… The phone is not even close to S22/Iphone 12/13/14 in terms of video. I don't think its worth the money… It doesn't live up to the expectations for the money you give.

  12. I wanted to like it but that iPhone style swiping system and lack of back button was the first "nope" to me. Then when half my apps kept crashing on it I decided to send it back.
    It's not for me.

  13. I had a look at the two pixel 7s in store and planned to buy one , but I decided not to . I just can't warm to this model . My eyes wandered to other brands on the display stand 🙊 I'll see how it goes with the pixel 8

  14. Pixel 7 pro user from Samsung amazed how well the camera worked and all the amazing features like translation and transcription for text and writing papers. Great Review 👍

  15. Bought the 7 pro and returned it due to the phone getting hot quick, I'm keeping my s22 ultra. I waited for a fix with the 6 pro from dame heat and that never came, good thing I traded my 6pro and got the iPhone 14 pro max

  16. one thing i dont like with my pixel 7 pro, it has double tapping to wake up issue, waking it up by double tapping is a hit or miss, mostly it does not work at all at least on my unit.
