  1. wireless charging is a gimmick.
firstly, a wireless charger must be purchased, secondly, it is also wired, and it must also be plugged into the mains (I repeat again with a "cable"), thirdly, if the wrong wireless charger is purchased, it will overheat when charging, fourthly: in addition to ultra-fast wired charging, wireless is slower and makes no sense, fifth: in case the phone lacks batteries, it's easier to take an ultra-fast charger with you than a slow wireless one that has to be plugged into the electricity via a wire, sixth: samsung and iphone have wireless charging, but neither do they have an adapter in the package, which has to be purchased, plus if you already want it, you have to buy the wireless charger as well, which is double the cost, plus both chargers are slow. and seventh: what is better? get an ultra-fast charger in the package and pay for the device at a much lower price compared to others, or don't get a charger in the package at all, for which you have to allocate an additional amount of money to pay more in the end, and charge slowly
and all that in the end you allow a Samsung and an iPhone to make a fool out of you regarding the lack of chargers, supposedly because of the protective environment? 🤔

  2. Something that I noticed and wasn't mentioned and it's kinda a deal breaker for me is that it doesn't have an AUX port.
I know some people aren't bothered by that especially with everything being mostly Bluetooth capable for audio devices but for me, it's a backup. If my earbuds die, I can easily whip out my wired ones.

Oh and also, I still plug my phone to my car for music. The Bluetooth in my car is only for call audio only sadly.

  3. The only real world downside on this device is going back to
USB 2.0 from usb 3.1 on 7 and other series.
With ever increasing camera pic sizes, higher resolution videos and overall large apps, one will fill up a lot of storage quickly and to transfer that they must have included
USB 3.1 instead of usb 2.0.
    This will be huge disappointment.

  4. 32 MP front-facing camera downgraded to 16 MP. 50 MP ultrawide to 48 MP. IP68 to IP64. USB-C 3.1 to 2.0. Why. WTF is wrong with OnePlus? Why are they REMOVING features that are needed instead of keeping them at the least or improving upon them at the best?

    I don't get OnePlus anymore.

EDIT: YouTube glitches out sometimes. Camera app takes 10 seconds to open and take a photo (the shutter button loads for 5 seconds after taking the photo). Camera lenses are NOT good. UI feels slow compared to Samsung S22 Ultra (I won't buy Samsung but checked it out in the shop). Back case is cheap. So is the protection glass on the front.

Never settle? You mean never settle for less profits and better customer satisfaction?

  5. I'm a bit worried about the curved screen, does it invite accidental touches. I have big hands, and it's a serious nuisance to have it overly sensitive at the edges.

  6. when you can fully charge your phone in under 30 minutes, wireless charging is just a gimmick that other phone companies use to get more money from you. I'd say this phone only lacks on the camera side, they could've done better than just put a Hasselblad brand sticker (yes they got software enhancements form them, but not hardware and it's still lacking).

  7. I do not care about any of 5 disadvantages you mentioned. I will wait for seeing how fast battery is draining on using it. Any previous one plus or samsung phones battery starts draining..on regular use of 30 minutes. Best thing I like after using for 5-10 minutes (after fully charged) and still seeing 100pc charged !!. Looks like power management might be improved..
Why do you need wireless charging when it has robust adapter ? Why do you need to dive in water with $700 phone in the pocket ? I only see some downside in look and feel due to camera section in the back

  8. Why does everybody always complain about wireless charging? I dont get it…its slow and pretty much useless in my book…Ill take a 30 minute full charge to wireless charging anyday

  9. Maxed out model is $600 right now. If it drops to $500 or less on Black Friday, I’m pulling the trigger.
I keep tech a long time. Current phone is an iPhone 6s from 2015, so…I’m due for a new one. 😂 Excited to go back to Android after all this time.

  10. Would love to know more about the Proximity sensor (the one on my 7 Pro isn't that smart) and also how bright it is the screen under the sun (once again my 7 Pro is impossible to use under the sun)?
Last but not least: how much impact does the vibration have? onto 7 pro it was inconsistent.
    Thx

  11. I dont mind the bad water resistance. I had a s21 ultra, ONLY 1 year old and I fell out of a boat into a sweetwater lake. It Was 15 seconds unser water, ONLY 30-50cm and it literally died. It now also has its battery swollen up and is rendered useless. Samsung wont cover this damage in germany. Even though the advertise it to b able to survive 30min 1m deep in water, the warranty doesnt handle the water damage that Was SO small compared to what ip68 stands for. 1300€ Phone dead. Now i ordered the oneplus for almost half of the price and its specs are so much better except the camera.

  12. f*ckedup company and theis smartphones .One plus is a very bad choice of buying a phone. The problems in Oxygen OS are too big to fix them. Problems in data, fingerprint, calls…things that other companies, serious companies and not china scams li ONEPLUS have end them for years. Very very bad service. You send your high price smartphone and they send it back with the same problems. For 2 or three times. Of course they don't change your phone with one other that is working and thy don't refund you about the broken phone the sold you.If you have very bad luck like me, you are going to buy the scam smartphones from a local reseller. In this case, if it has a problem, forget to have any kind of solution from oneplus or the reseller. No guarantee for you and your phone in any case

  13. I can't believe they messed up Oxygen OS this was one of the strongest point of this phone.
I know a ton of people which simply have decided not to upgrade because of the colour os implementation. I was about to upgrade but this has also put me of and also the fact that they seem rather not stable as a company with the random changes from one phone to the next.

  14. Do not buy – too many issues

One of the worst phones ever. Bluetooth will not sync to the car audio and so one can't do voice calls in the car, through the car speaker system. WhatsApp calls on the phone are erratic. Sometimes one is able to make calls but more often than not, one can't make or receive WhatsApp calls. There is flickering of the screen. Selfie photo quality is very poor. Disappointing over all. And the "Experience" store staff at Phoenix at Lower Parel had the audacity to say all these issues are known issues. Definitely an experience :(. No solution but to change to another brand unfortunately. Looks like One Plus ended being a good phone after 9Pro.

  15. Is wireless really wireless if you still need to plug the base somewhere to charge it? Also the phone needs to be in physical contact with the base and properly placed, so yea not really amazed by "wireless" charging, only something to lure people to wast their money.

  16. As some have commented, wireless charging is not important to me either. It's just too slow and I will never use it. I'm considering this and it will be my first One Plus. As for the software in their cameras, do you think they will improve it with software updates. Not sure if their track record regarding updates and fixes. But when you get for the price it's a great value and the dual sim card capability is a big plus for me. Thank you.
