Tesla Model X Plaid Infotainment System – Full Review

Take a look at my full review of the Tesla Model X Plaid Infotainment System. The center screen itself is all new and no longer comes in portrait orientation. Instead, the 17.0-inch touchscreen is in landscape orientation, similar to the Model 3 and Y but two inches larger. The resolution is incredible, at 2200 by 1300 pixels, and the picture is bright and vivid.

An upgraded user interface runs on the touchscreen. It allows you to rearrange the windows by dragging them around the display. The new system also features a button to access recent apps and a swipe-to-close feature for apps, rather than the old “X” button, and can pair with multiple Bluetooth devices.

  1. Hello, me and my father just took the delivery of the first X Plaid in Poland and we have one important question. We drove the model S 100d and the instument panel was configurable (you could put your contacts in there, or whatever you liked at the moment so you wouldn't have to look at the larger screen). After taking the delivery we still can't figure out how to configure the instrument panel for the refreshed Tesla. We tried our best but failed and I can't find any info about it. It seems like it's not configurable, but maybe you know the answer to this question.

Thanks a lot and keep up the great work!

  2. The door screen will not come to the Model S because it does not have the automatic doors that the X has, making the door menu useless in the Model S

  3. I don’t own a Tesla(yet) but I already find them funny, a completely different riding experience and a good representation of the future
Find a bummer they’re extremely minimalistic with their interior not including ambient lighting and/or heads up display. Not even sure if you’re able to install those aftermarket in an electric car, do t think so ☹️

  4. Please rename the video to „Model X Settings Overview“. You did not show anything from the infotainment system at all.
No Spotify, no YouTube, no Browser, no Netflix, nothing, yet you call it „Full Review“

  5. Thanks…good prep for July delivery. btw: you skipped over the green light chime which he had turned off…very helpful on my M3LR to prevent honking when I'm caught daydreaming as lead car at a traffic light.
