On December 7, Huawei officially announced today that it will hold a HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile phone developer Beta event in Beijing on December 16.
It is understood that the registration time for this event is from December 4th to December 15th, and the event will be held at the Park Hyatt Beijing on December 16.
Participating partners and developers can feel the highlights of the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile phone developer Beta version for the first time, learn about the latest innovative experience of HamonyOS 2.0 in the whole scene, and face-to-face with Huawei HarmonyOS technical experts.
At the Huawei 2020 Developers Conference in September this year, Yu Chengdong announced that Hongmeng OS 2.0 will be released as a Beta version for application developers. It will be released on September 10 for large screens, watches, and cars, and in December for mobile phones. Next year, Huawei smartphones will be fully upgraded to Hongmeng OS 2.0.
Previously, Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei’s consumer business software department, said that users who upgrade EMUI 11 will also be given priority to upgrade Hongmeng OS.
Huawei Hongmeng OS 2.0 will be released for mobile phones in December 2020. Next year, Huawei smartphones will be fully upgraded to support Hongmeng 2.0.
Wang Chenglu revealed that in the past five years or so, the Huawei software team has basically replaced the core parts of the Android system.
“This is realistic. We have moved it from the low-level driver to the hardware abstraction layer to the programming framework on Huawei, etc. We have changed everything that can be changed.”
Wang Chenglu said that the EROFS read-only file system released last year, including GPU Turbo, has been recognized by everyone. Almost the entire Android graphics stack has been changed. Therefore, with these capabilities, upgrading Android’s EMUI with Hongmeng OS today is a matter of course without so many difficulties.
