For Qualcomm, they are already developing processors after the Snapdragon 888, but what is it like?
Now the news about the upgraded version of Snapdragon 888 has begun to leak. From the exposure, Qualcomm is developing a chip code-named SM8450’Waipio, which will be the successor of Snapdragon 888 (SM8350).
It is reported that this new Qualcomm processor code-named SM8450 will be based on the Kryo 780 CPU core of ARM Cortex v9 technology, the GPU is Adreno 730, and the ISP is Spectra 680, supports four-channel package LPDDR5 RAM, and also integrates the Snapdragon X65 5G baseband.
Finally, the news also mentioned that the performance of the upgraded version of Snapdragon 888 will be greatly improved, and it will be manufactured using 4nm process.
It should also be noted that the DSP of the new processor is upgraded from Spectra 580 to Spectra 680, and the FastConnect 6900 subsystem will support Bluetooth LE Audio/5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E.
Some sources previously revealed that the Snapdragon 888 Pro may be launched by Qualcomm in the near future. From the exposed running score data, the X1 super nuclear frequency of this new product has been increased from 2.84GHz to 3.0GHz, but it is still uncertain whether Qualcomm is Increased the GPU frequency for it.
The running score data shows that the single-core running score of the Snapdragon 888 Pro is 1171 points, and the multi-core running score is 3704 points.
