How To Downgrade Or Update Your iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad Using iTunes 10

With the latest iTunes update, you might have noticed trying to downgrade your iPod will give you an error. Same thing if you are even trying to update using Shift + Restore, this video will show you what to do in order to not worry about this.

On PC: Navigate to the path “c:windowssystem32driversetc and open the hosts file in a notepad or wordpad.

On MAC: Navigate to the path “/etc/” and open the hosts file with TextEdit.

Add “74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com” (without quotes) to the bottom of the file and save.
