Spirit needs itunes 9++ to operate. It is an untethered jailbreak and works on all i-devices.
IMPORTANT: Spirit Jailbreak on IPAD is still in developing stage and some times it applications crashes. So if it does and you reboot your ipad and see weird stuff like icons misplaced etc, then ‘respring’ your Ipad. Everything will be back to normal.
WINDOWS USERS: You must go down to this website www.ih8sn0w.com and download AutoSHSH -RC2 to save your SHSH files for your Iphone, IPod Touch and IPAD. Because in future Apple can prevent you from downgrading unless you’ve got a backup of your personalized SHSH blobs.

IMPORTANT : All Cydia apps are not yet compatible with Ipad. So if you install anything from Cydia and get a Black screen with long ‘slide to Unlock” , simply Respring your IPad.
