Nvidia RTX 4090, 4080 16GB, 4070 12GB Announced – Crazy Prices This is Anti-Consumer
Nvida announced its highly anticipated RTX 40 series Ada Lovelace Graphics cards for PC gamers and things get quite ugly. The RTX 4090 which will launch for $1599 and will be available on October 12th is ironically the most appealing card out of the whole stack. Whereas the go to GPUs like the RTX 4070 and RTX 4080 have been priced at ludicrous price points. Let’s not kid ourselves here, the 4080 12GB is a rebranded RTX 4070 and jacked up in price. Along with that locking DLSS 3.0 behind the 40 series exclusively is total BS. This is blatant anti-consumer tactics on full display here. While the performance of these GPUs seems good, there comes a point where you can’t be too out of touch with your pricing. Although once could argue this was Nvidia’s master plan all along and they did this to allow the RTX 30 series to co-exist for a while and therefore push PC gamers towards cards like the 3090 Ti or 3080 Ti. Either way this is a complete mess if you ask me.
