Google’s new flagship Pixel 7 series was officially launched in Taiwan today (13th), and many grain fans have already received the new machine. This time, the Pixel 7 series uses Google’s second-generation self-developed Tensor processor. How much has the performance been upgraded?

A reporter from Free 3C Technology Channel also conducted a performance benchmark for the Pixel 7 series, for your reference. Taking the Pixel 7 Pro as the representative, through the software test of “Geekbench 5”, it obtained a single-core 1051 and a multi-core 3157.

Compared with the Pixel 6 Pro’s first-generation Tensor processor, the single-core is 1042 and the multi-core 2814. It shows that there is not much difference between the single-core running points of the first and second-generation Tensors, while the multi-core running points of the second-generation Tensors are significantly surpassed.

Further comparing with Apple’s A16 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, the iPhone 14 Pro Max gets a single-core 1876 and a multi-core 5468.

As for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, because the reporter happened to only have the Xiaomi Mi 12T Pro, the actual measurement was carried out on the Xiaomi Mi 12T Pro, and the single-core 1318 and the multi-core 4343 were obtained.

It can be seen that compared with Apple A16 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, there is still a big gap in the performance of Google’s second-generation Tensor. Apple A16 is still crushing the Android camp.
