1. Apple is trying to justify huge wastage of display with this island gimmick and strangely people buy this nonsense like apple has provided something extra.

2. I just picked up the 14 pro yesterday and I’m not sure on how I feel about the dynamic Island I don’t love but I don’t hate it I’m simply just meh about the dynamic Island. Now I will say I am intrigued by how the dynamic Island disappears into certain notifications

7. How could someone use the 14 pro and say it’s the same as the 13 pro? AOD and Dynamic island are two pretty visual differences that you’ll notice while using the phone.

8. Yesterday I was working, on the phone, and listening to music via AirPlay on my smart tv. I also had a timer going because my gf was making me breakfast. It was amazing how I didn’t have to stay in the music or timer app but they sat in my dynamic island. Major multitasking

12. It used to be that you would try to avoid touching the camera so as not to smudge it. Now you need to put your greasy little mitts all over it! But hats off to Apple for making a pill shape eyesore into a selling feature. Pure genius!

15. I’ve been using it a week and a half and I don’t even realise or take any notice of the dynamic island 99 percent of the time too me it’s a gimmick

16. Its a gimmick. Only thing thst goes in it for me is apple music.
    If they put your notifications in it instead of popping up under it it would be better.
    Being able to return texts in it. And it should show your airpods battery in it in a circle when connected

22. i upgraded from the 12 pro max so for me there was an upgrade.. i do enjoy the dynamic island but i really wish it could do more! 😢 hoping more third parties have that support

23. They needed to copy android's Popup Notification but Applefy it and make it their own. Ofc its a gimmick.

36. At first I was excited when they demonstrate the dynamic island, however seeing a big black notch separated from the top is annoying.

37. As long as the Face ID stays, we will see something like this. Dynamic Island is just something that they hide another notch with. The old notch was less noticeable. This one looks annoying.

39. When I realised that day to day notifications are not a part of the animation, I cancelled my order. Keeping my 13 pro max for now. Not enough changes to justify the purchase. Let’s see next year.

40. cool for notifications etc. but changing songs etc garbage. having to reach to the top of the phone all the time is a no go for me. as I can do most stuff 1 handed as it is. coming from a max model too.
