  1. Let me say as well that not only is the hole punch worse than ever, but the curved corners Eaaaugh they're disgusting… they just steal so much content, and it's way more expensive to have to cut those display corners as well as bend them at the lower edge to connect to the motherboard…
Apple people are literally paying more for less, and those "innovations" trickle down to android cause "gotta copy apple"

  2. Omg i’d never want this blank dark dead pixles on my phone. why would they keep nitch. just get rid of notch and go notchless with in display finger printer . no more notch, no more face ID annoyance problem sovled. come on Apple

  3. Without imitating the aesthetic of the Dynamic Island what Android could do is unify all the different styles of pop ups notifications and widgets and move them all up into the status bar which would result in a more consistent UX

  4. This is Apple trying to make up for it's lack of multitasking. I downloaded at least 3 Dynamic Island clones on Android just to tease my iPhone friends to say "HA!! Everyone has this! It's not unique! Plus we have split screen and floating windows! PLUS we can turn the annoying island off and go back to our little punch outs and teardrops

  5. This would be cool if and only if it were not near the camera and it replaced the right side of the status bar where notifications are and could be colored to the background you have ie what android does now minus the intractable pop up ofc as you have to pull down in android I think the pop up idea is what needs to be ported but not in the same way basically

  6. I like it! Plus as an android user I appreciate the copies made just after it's launch. Just installed one on my xiaomi and yeah it's versatile and functional enough not perfect by any means but yeah funny looking different approach dynamic indeed – that's just my opinion thoughm nothing more!

  7. I'm on a SE for upgraded specs because of the notch era.

I need to figure out how to infiltrate to give the people what they want 😂😂
Touch ID on the power button. No face ID & take that whole screen obstruction notch pill away completely.

Its like buying a t shirt with a charging brick sized hole near the neck 🤦🏽‍♂️

  8. I don't even think I will be getting the iPhone 15 when it comes out so I think I like the notch a whole lot better to tell you the truth than this island thing that they have here if this what their phone is going to look like next year then that's it for me I'm going to Android

  9. Ok ,so let me get this straight, the best thing about a phone nowadays is tht it can give you smooth notifications on a so called notch?u still have to pick up your phone to use this, kind of useless to me,I still receive calls and sms's just fine on my Nokia 3.

  10. Thank you. The "Dynamic Island" should be called the "Dynamic Turd". I was looking forward to getting the iPhone 14 but won't now. The Dynamic Turd is even more intrusive and uglier than the prior models. It's Apple making lemon out of lemonade and not at all innovating. And the Apple Fanboys and paid shill Influencers on YT rejoice!!!

  11. Shane, the Island is brilliant in integrating a would be useless eye sore to a functional “island”. I believe other manufacturers will imitate the island because it offers a solution to an ongoing issue of camouflaging the camera area etc. like you have mentioned before in DUO videos, a thumbs down is still Positive YouTube exposure. Although I disagree on this one Shane, you still win! I think the island is a bit minimal as other third party apps have not adopted to it yet, it’s still early but I love the functionality when it is present and I believe it will become a thing. Look, most ppl say they don’t use the side window pane on the Duo 2 but it’s there if you need it. I have a Duo, I have a Z Fold 3 and the iPhone 14 and I find a use case for all of them but my favorite is my iPhone for daily use. Z Fold for media and Duo for productivity. I use what I like doesn’t matter the operating system. Enjoy what works for you people!

  12. At the end of the day it is a computer with phone capabilities. If you want great videos all the time, design a portable TV, but for on the go videos, as long as I get the majority of the image I’m good. Have a TV at home if I need the best video quality. But for multi tasking and notifications, along. With my secure and fast Face ID, I’m very satisfied.
