How to dual-boot macOS Sonoma Beta

1. When first booting into Sonoma, there’s a screen that says:

   “Create a computer account.

   Create a local user account to administer this computer.

   Create a local administrator account for “your name.”

   Can someone explain the differences?

7. If you can't see container disk3. Make sure you click View>Show all Devices (Command + 2 is the shortcut). You're Welcome.

8. DO NOT TRY THIS, unless you want to brick your macbook like I did. I followed the instructions, and after restarting and choosing the Sonoma partition it stuck in an endless restart loop. I couldn't choose another partition for startup or even force it to shut down. I had to bring it to an Apple store. They said I'm not the first one with this issue, but they fixed the previous one within a day. This was on Monday and now it's Wednesday, so it's probably more serious…

13. after I enter my password after install and restart its just stuck loading, I've tried everything from restart to re install nothing works, im on Mac mini m1 2020

15. Hey thanks for the tutorial. There is one issue I'm facing – its that when I'm prompted to add a new user or the existing user to the computer, I can't proceed further and I'm getting an error saying that it failed to create the user. And when somehow i got to the login screen, after entering the password the screen blacks out for a moment and then I'm returned to the login window. Why is this happening?
    Has it got something to do with the apple id?

17. when i try to install the somona in the new harddrive there is a big ! (yellow) on the newly made hardrive, that says that i only can install that software on a startup disk. how do i solve this?
