Hey guys this is geekiscarnage and today I’m going to show you how to jailbreak ios4.2.1 with greenpoison. Greenpoison jailbreaks the ipod touch 2g, 3g, 4g, iphone 3g, 3gs, iPhone 4, iPad, and even the verizon iPhone 4. This is a untethered jailbreak so you won’t need to rejailbreak every time you reboot your idevice. Ill be jailbreaking my iPod touch 4g.
For iPhone users
This is not a iPhone unlock, this is just a jailbreak. If your watching this video at a later date there might already be a unlock. Check the description
Before we start this if your currently jail broken please back up and restore to 4.2.1. If your not jail broken still back up with iTunes if anything does happen.
Your going to have to go to the greenpoison.com and down load the green poison jailbreak. I’ll have the Link in the Description.
This works on the Mac, windows, and Linux. So pick the download that goes with your operating system.
So download it to your desktop. And unzipped it.
Now were going to open it. If your using windows you may need to run in admin mode
So now your going to plug your iDevice up to your computer via the USB cable
For this jailbreak your going to need to put your idevice in dfu mode
The green poison app will guide you to put your idevice in dfu mode
Alright so first your going to turn off your idevice
Now our going to hold down just the power button for 3 seconds
Then you going to hold both the home and power button for 10 seconds
Then your going to let go of the power button but keep holding the home button until it gets into dfu mode
Your idevice screen should be black. If it says connect to iTunes you did it wrong. Just restart and do it again
It shouldn’t take to long. Just let it do it’s thing .
Alright guys, it’s jailbroken.

I jailbroke my it did not let me get paid apps or music plus I can't update my iosd
i did all the steps correctly but i keep getting a message "try again". then my phone would stay off & i have to press & hold the home button & the sleep button.
