2. I'm about to get one after constantly watching reviews and comparing features on the Garmin website for the past week. The F7 Pro Sapphire solar might be better in almost every way, but it is too expensive, a bit bigger and heavier, and then there is the MIP. The big bright screen on the FR 965 is excellent, battery life is surprisingly good, and it does nearly everything else almost as well, costs less, and is smaller and lighter. It's still a huge improvement over my Instinct.

3. Give us a 975 with the new HR monitor. Make a pro version with sapphire glass and the flashlight… and gps double tap. 😊

   After thinking about it for a long time, I finally pulled the trigger and went for an Amp yellow FR 965 from PlayBetter (thanks for recommending them, BTW.)

5. Just the review I was looking for. I just can't justify paying Fenix or epic money.

6. Does it stop workouts with a button, particularly swimming? I dislike how my current watch, a Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, you need to touch the screen to complete the workout. Sometimes that is very tricky with wet and sweaty hands.

8. I bought Garmin for the MIP display, not the processors or sensors. I agree with many long-time Garmin users that Garmin's analysis is for reference only and the data can be far from reality. Now that they have switched to AMOLED displays, I might consider a different brand when I replace my current 935.

9. I thought that the Fenix line would be the best for me. Only problem is that it was too heavy and on wrist HR tracking for daily activity (let alone during activities) was wonky. Since a “downgrade” to the 955, all is right in my world again.

    Those few days I had been on the edge between FR965 and epix pro gen2 47mm.
    I had watched a lot of videos including your other ones, now I am probably on to the FR965.

12. I chose the Garmin Forerunner 265 over the 965 for their price difference. Just enough for me and my very first Garmin watch 😁

    I train for triathlons, and I had the 965 and the Apple Watch 8 for 7 days, one on each wrist. I absolutely love the 965. The 965 was extremely light and was as accurate as the Apple Watch with heart rate , minus a delay in heart rate response with fitness, and the 965 screen has a very good color screen. I really think Apple and Garmin should work together. I did stick with Apple because of the ability to compare, compete, and see my Apple challenges. I would have picked the Garmin over the other apple if not for those three active things.

17. switched my Tactix D for a 965 with nylon band and live it. Would prefer the new Tactix Amoled perhaps but the size and weight of the FR 965 is just so nice..

18. Garmin Instinct 2X solar and Instinct Crossover Solar (tactical) are my favorites. I just can't stand the OLED screens and like you mentioned the metal bodies on the higher watches just screen wear and tear the second you set it down… not cool. My wife has an instinct 2s (I previously owned the Instinct 2 in white) for a while and it looks brand new still… its been through all kinds of non-sense, but it hold up up well aesthetically, the screen is easily readable, and battery life is amazing. My favorite daily wear is the Instinct Crossover Solar (tactical… had the grey version previously). It has the best balance of size, battery, aesthetics for a variety of settings (professional vs casual dress) and readability for my daily uses. The Instinct 2X's battery life and large screen are amazing for running, but it is a bit large and intrusive on my 6.5" wrist. Also, its a very plain looking watch, which may appeal to some folks.

20. The best smartwatch on the market isn't the brand or its features, its all about what it could do for you and is it useful in your daily use scenario. Some people will say the Epix range is the best, some may lean towards the Forerunner, and the remaining rest will either head towards the Venu camp, or perhaps be sitting on the fence.

    Garmin makes a heck load of watches in their lineup, you can say that they are the "Nokia" version of mobile phones back in the 90s and 2000s when Nokia created a whole load of phones in different shape and sizes. Garmin's reason to expand their already huge smartwatch portfolio is simply to cater for the different needs and wants of the many likes of people out there. Sticking to just only one type of fitness watch will see them lose a portion of the competition race that now has the likes of Suunto, Polar and Coros catching Garmin up.

22. I wear my 965 everyday. Only comes off for charging. Love it, but wish I'd purchased a screen protector as i have 3 big scratches across it now.

25. I have been looking al the 965 for months now. I was gifted With an Apple Watch series 8 last christmas which has kept me from buying a new watch. It is an amazing watch and the more i watch your video the more i’d like to purchase one.

26. Hi thanks for great content👌I change from Epix gen 2 to an 965 because of the screen size and brightnes and the weight,. I love my 965 but as I have tattoo on my left arm mye sleep tracks me just one of 4 nights🤔That is a little bad. Have a nice and sporty Christmas🏃🏻‍♂️🧑‍🎄🎄🎅

27. great watch … only getting about 10-11 days with AOD off, Pulse Ox off and 3 run (12-18 miles a week) + indoor cycle once a week (9.5 miles)
