iOS 15.5 is the latest official version of the operating system currently available to the public, but users reported that the Books app could not open books after updating to iOS 15.5!

Apple released iOS 15.5 in May with enhancements to the Podcasts app, Apple Cash, and overall bug fixes. However, the update also appears to be causing some problems for Books users, as the app was buggy after the iOS 15.5 update.
9to5Mac received reports that after updating iPhones and iPads to iOS 15.5, Books crashed when users tried to open any book in the app! ! !
It’s unclear how many users were affected by the bug, but App Store reviews of the Apple Books app confirm that a significant number of users experienced some issues with the app. Almost all negative reviews say that Apple Books can no longer open any books after the update.
“It’s too bad I can’t open any of the books after the 15.5 update,” said one user. Another commented in an App Store review: “I bought the iPad primarily for reading, and I Struggling to read all the time.”
