Apple’s limited-time sales tax-free shopping is coming to 9 US states: covering Mac, iPad, iPhone and more

IT House July 25 news, Apple has detailed which of its products are eligible for the upcoming sales tax exemption in some US states, including Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Mexico, South Carolina , Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Sales Tax Exemption provides a limited-time opportunity to purchase certain Apple products online or at an Apple Store retail store without paying sales tax. Eligible products and price limits vary by state, with full details listed on the official Apple website. Apple says the tax savings may not appear at checkout, but will be reflected on the final receipt.

Depending on the state, eligible Apple products may include Macs, iPads, iPhones, or peripherals such as Apple Pencil and Studio Display.

Florida’s sales tax exemption begins Monday and runs through August 7, while many other states offer sales tax exemptions in the first week of August. The Apple website provides a complete list of dates each state is exempt from sales tax.

The sales tax exemption is especially beneficial to the student population, as the tax savings can be combined with Apple’s ongoing back-to-school season sale, which includes up to $150 in Apple Gift Cards for students purchasing an eligible Mac or iPad, and 20% off AppleCare+ plan. Apple is also offering students educational discounts on specific purchases.
