5G speed test shows: Samsung Galaxy S24 leads Apple iPhone 15

Network testing agency Ookla has released a latest 5G smartphone performance report, which contains data for the new Samsung Galaxy S24 series. Test results show that the median download speed of the 5G network of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is better than that of the Apple iPhone 15 series in most test countries/regions.

Ookla broke down the results of the test in detail in its blog post. From February 1st to March 24th, they collected test data from regions such as Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Europe, and North America, and compared the Galaxy S24 series (including previous models) with the iPhone 15 series .

According to Ookla’s report, “In this study, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series demonstrated a statistically significant lead in median 5G download speeds in 7 of the 15 countries tested. Advantage.”

It’s worth noting that while the iPhone 15 series ranked first in median 5G speeds in one of the countries, Ookla also noted that in some test countries, “there was a gap between Galaxy S24 devices and iPhone 15 The speed difference is relatively small.” However, overall, the S24 series still has a slight advantage in terms of 5G speed.

Specifically, in the United States, the median 5G speed of the Galaxy S24 series is 34 Mbps faster than the iPhone 15 series. In the UAE, the S24 series edged out the iPhone 15 series with a slim 9 Mbps advantage. In the UK, the median 5G speed of the S24 series is 18 Mbps ahead of the iPhone 15 series.
