Today, Apple officially pushed the iOS 17.5/iPadOS 17.5 developer preview Beta 2 update to iPhone and iPad users, with the internal version number 21F5058e.
According to Apple’s official log, the content of the iOS/iPadOS 17.5 Beta 2 update is basically the same as that of Beta 1. It fixes the accessibility AbleNet Hook+ Assistive function, introduces new functions for Core Motion, and fixes the problem of SubscriptionStoreView “Terms of Service” in StoreKit causing a crash after being pressed. .
As expected, the iOS 17.5 Developer Preview Beta update brings a long-awaited big change to EU users: downloading apps directly from the developer website. However, developers who want to offer app downloads through their website need to meet certain conditions. First, developers need to be members of the Apple Developer Program for more than two consecutive years, and in the past year, they need to have at least more than 1 million first-time installs of their app in the EU. Other requirements include passing Apple’s notarization process and publishing a transparent data collection policy.
For qualified developers, Apple will provide corresponding API interfaces to help them realize the function of providing App downloads through the website. Apps downloaded by users in this way can be backed up, restored, updated, etc., and the experience is basically the same as downloading from the App Store.
iOS 17.5/iPadOS 17.5 Beta 2 upgrade method:
