Tutorial – Install Windows 10 in VMWare Fusion 11

Ever wanted to run Windows on a Mac? It’s incredibly easy.

After the recent videos on Virtualisation, I was asked to show how to install Windows 10 using VMWare Fusion 11. It’s really easy – and this video shows exactly how to do it.

I’ll do a follow up showing how I customise Windows 10 in VMWare Fusion for my own use.

Also, Parallels Desktop 14.0 is fairly similar – you can see the video for that here:

  1. I would like to use my iMac (MID 2011) as an dual screen for my Dell Latitude 5850 (no support for Thunderbolt). I've seen a 2018 tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpnehuBO5AE) where an iMac could be used as an second monitor for a windows 10 PC. In your video you only use VMWare Fusion. I have already VMWare Fusion Prof. 10.1.6 installed. Is it possible for me to install Windows 10 (in the way you are showing in your video) and use my iMac as an second monitor for a windows 10 PC?

  3. Hi when i put in my iso, I don't get the same interface as you do, the "easy install" part,. Instead it asks me for my operating system for this virtual machine. 🙁
