Apple releases supplementary updates for watchOS 6.2.1 and macOS 10.15.4 to fix bugs

Apple has released a supplemental update for MacOS Catalina 10.15.4 for Mac users running macOS Catalina.

The new supplemental update includes some bug fixes, including the resolution of the FaceTime call issue, which was also fixed in the iOS 13.4.1 and iPadOS 13.4.1 updates.

• Fixed an issue where the MacBook Air (retina display, 13-inch, launched in 2020) might freeze when using the Setup Assistant or disconnecting and reconnecting a 4K or 5K external display

• Solved the problem that the USB-C port of Mac may not respond

It is unclear whether the macOS 10.15.4 supplemental update solves some Mac users’ kernel panic, random restart, system crash and other problems that occurred after macOS 10.15.4 update.

In addition, Apple also released watchOS 6.2.1, iPhone’s iOS 13.4.1 and iPad’s iPadOS 13.4.1, each version has the same FaceTime bug fix, and resolved several other minor bugs.

In addition to the macOS supplemental update, Apple today also launched the watchOS 6.2.1 upgrade patch, which is the seventh upgrade patch for watchOS 6. watchOS 6.2.1 is two weeks away from the release of watchOS 6.2.

watchOS 6.2.1 can be downloaded and installed via the Apple Watch app on the iPhone. When the update is installed, the remaining battery of the Apple Watch is greater than 50%, and it must be charging, within the communication range of the iPhone connected to WiFi.

watchOS 6.2.1 fixes the issue that devices running watchOS 6.2 cannot join FaceTime audio calls on devices running iOS 9.3.6 and earlier or OSX El Capitan 10.11.6 and earlier.

The iOS 13.4.1 released by Apple yesterday also fixed the FaceTime issue.
