Apple provides Developer Transition Kits (DTKs) to developers for a smooth transition to Apple Silicon. DTK is equipped with A12Z Bionic as Apple Silicon.
How to apply for the developer migration kit
To get the Developer Migration Kit, you must first sign up for the Universal App Quick Start Program. This program includes access to documentation, forum support, beta versions of macOS Big Sur and Xcode 12.
A Developer Transition Kit (DTK) is provided to help developers build and test Universal 2 apps. The DTK must be returned to Apple after the program ends.
Developer Transition Kit specifications
The DTK uses the Mac mini enclosure and is made up of A12Z Bionic as Apple Silicon, 16GB memory, 512GB SSD, 5Gbps USB-A port and 10Gbps USB-C port. After registering for the Universal App Quick Start Program, the total cost for borrowing the DTK is $500 (about 54,000 yen).
