iPhone 12 will be Apple’s first 5G phone

The report shows that Apple’s third-quarter net revenue was $59.685 billion, an increase of 11% from $53.809 billion in the same period last year; net profit was $11.253 billion, an increase of 12% from $10.04 billion in the same period last year. Among them, the third-quarter net revenue in Greater China was US$9.329 billion, compared to US$9.157 billion in the same period last year, an increase of 2% year-on-year.
During the earnings call, Apple’s chief financial officer Luca Maestri mentioned that it is expected that this year’s iPhone will be delayed.
Mestri said that Apple started selling the iPhone at the end of September last year, but this year, Apple expects the supply to be delayed “a few weeks later.” But no more information was mentioned.
There was also news that iPhone 12 may be delayed or released, but this time it can be said to be official confirmation. Previously, many analysts concerned about the Apple industry chain have mentioned the issue of delay.
After Qualcomm’s earnings report yesterday, Akash Palkhiwala, their chief financial officer, said: “We can see part of the impact of the delay in the launch of flagship phones. We think it’s a slight delay. Some products have been postponed from the September quarter to the December quarter.” Although he didn’t make it clear that it was an iPhone, it obviously had an impact on Qualcomm, and there were not many mobile phones mentioned at the financial report.
The epidemic has become the biggest accident this year, and perhaps the key reason for the iPhone delay.
It is not clear whether all iPhones will be delayed. Apple may still launch the new iPhone in September, as usual, and release it later this year. The previous iPhone X and last year’s iPhone XR are in this way.
