Apple warns “Charging with MagSafe may leave a circular mark on the case”

MagSafe

Apple has updated its support documentation for MagSafe, warning that if you wear a MagSafe-enabled leather case and charge it wirelessly with MagSafe, you may get circular marks on the case.

Warning before launch

All models of the iPhone 12 series use MagSafe, which fixes the charging position with a magnet. If it is a MagSafe compatible case, it can be fixed with a magnet even with the case attached, and it can be charged as it is, so it is highly expected that it will make the conventional wireless charging even more convenient.

However, Apple has announced in its support document that “the MagSafe-compatible leather case may have circular marks when charged.” It is thought that the crimping by the magnet and the heat during charging will have an effect, but it is certain that the beauty will be spoiled if the leather case is marked.

The MagSafe-compatible leather case is said to be released on November 6, and it may be appreciated by users that this fact was announced before the sale. However, it has been reported that circular marks will remain on the silicon cases that have already been released, and for users who want to use the case neatly, the circular marks by MagSafe are likely to be a source of trouble.
