While the authenticity of the image cannot be confirmed, it’s not uncommon for images of iPhone packaging to surface ahead of Apple’s annual event in September. And the same thing happened a few weeks before the iPhone 13 last year, as it did when Apple released the iPhone 12 in 2020.

Most current reliable sources also refer to the 2022 iPhone models as the “iPhone 14” series, although the naming convention Apple decided to use was never confirmed until the smartphone’s official launch, which is expected to arrive on September 7. Announced at Apple’s “Far Out” event in Japan.

Previous rumors have suggested that all models in the iPhone 14 series will come with 6GB of RAM — something analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and other sources have previously claimed. The difference is that the Pro model will come in a white box.

The iPhone pictures shown in the background are said to be of the display’s design, but given all the rumors pointing to a pill shape and a cutout for the front-facing camera assembly, that doesn’t look credible.

Apple is focusing on offering larger sizes for its flagship iPhone devices, and this year we’re expected to see the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. That means there will be non-Pro and Pro versions of both sizes of the phone, something Apple hasn’t done before.
