Macbook Pro 2012 SSD Upgrade + Installing MacOS on new SSD – How To – AmIRootYet – Pranshu Bajpai



My Macbook Pro Mid 2012 was sitting, collecting dust until I recently replaced its original hard drive with a Samsung Evo 860 1 TB SSD. This video details the procedure to install the SSD in the Macbook Pro 2012 and to install MacOS on the new SSD.

–Remove back panel
–Remove plastic panel holding down the hard drive
–Remove connector from hard drive
–Remove the four screws from hard drive
–Place screws on new SSD
–Connect the connector to the SSD
–Place new SSD in the slot
–Screw in the plastic panel that holds down the SSD
–Screw in the back panel
–Press Command + R to bring up Utilities
–Erase and format the new SSD
–Install MacOS
