I dont know why, but MB Pro 13" have better design. 14" Pro looks terrible.
Plz do compare m1 pro with 13 inch m2 Mac pro with 16gb and 512gb so it can easily cross the score on m1 pro 14 inch…….

The apple officially announced that the base model performs on low rate in m2 scenario
I have purchased the M2 14 inch and think it is superb, I upgraded from the 16 inch Intel version and are impressed with the performance, I am not obsessed with benchmarks and find that in real world performance it is a good solid machine. Another thing to consider is longevity buying the latest model will last longer with software updates, the average person does not buy a new one every time a new model comes out. In a nutshell I am pleased with the actual performance editing my drone footage and everything else and don’t care about benchmarks I suspect like most people.
I suggest you just refer to M1 and M2 (simple), jumping between screen sizes is a bit confusing
Y’all I just bought an M1 Pro, 16gb, 512gb model. I want to start iOS development using Xcode, and continue learning general programming in other languages. Did I make a good choice? Can’t upgrade to 1tb without getting the full 10-core model (Apple refurbished), and storage is what I’m most concerned with. Is there a way to integrate an external SSD without bottlenecking any performance? I’d use it to store files, photos, and videos, not run applications. Bless whoever answers me

Coparing batteries, should be done with computer of the same age or, at least with the same amount of charges/discharges. Considering the M1 pro is older that the M2, I guess the battery performances are great.

I see you ran the Affinity Photo 2 benchmark on these M1 machines, but decided not to on the new M2 machines. It would have been nice to see how they compare. I cannot find anyone showing Affinity Photo benchmarks on the M2 machines online.

The 14” MBP model is the better machine but the 13” MBP is not a bad choice if all you want is the base configuration, the only thing that bothers me is that Apple removed the Touch Bar on the new models, yes I know most people don’t care about it but I love it.
not much fair of a comparison considering the humongous difference in specs, in all aspects ram, SSD, processor. It like comparing a base Honda civic against the Civic type R and getting surprise one is faster than the other.. who does this video even exist.?
Very very disappointed. With all the hassle and pain of shifting entire system to a different architecture we ended up right where we said good bye to Intel. Overheating and Throttling.
I will go for 13”, being smaller, slimmer and lighter is better for me. I’ll use it for web development and i will need a 27” monitor either way. So better to be lighter and slimmer. That’s what i think

So it seems the MBP 14" M1 is a better buy over the M1 MBP 13". I'm headed to Costco tomorrow to buy the MBP M1 for $1599..00. I was hoping to wait next year for Apple to release the M2 on the MBP 14". I assume, had Apple put an M2 in the 14" MBP, it'd be faster that a 14" MBP with M1, correct? With a $400 savings, I'll settle for the 14" MBP with M1. I'm upgrading from a 2011 MBAir.
