  1. MacBook 14 inches M3 Pro, 12 Core CPU/18 CORE GPU, 18 GB RAM/1 TB SSD or MacBook 14 inches M2 Pro 10 Core CPU/16 CORE GPU, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD. New computers, similar price. Mainly used for photo editing and video editing. What to choose ? 🙂

  2. I want to buy a mac but i am confused i need it for studies mainly and some video and photo editing i dont want the high spec model i am confused which to buy do i buy the m3 ,m2 , or base m2 pro i want a mac that will be ok for every task for atleat next 3 years

  3. You know … I absolutely love my M1 MBP wedge. Best design ever. For 90+% of the people wanting portable computing, the M1 is awesome. I understand the pros need more, but for most of us there gets to be a point when you just can’t tell the difference in speed. I would love to see the M1 MBA wedge left in the lineup w a few minor upgrades like current WiFi standards, MagSafe, etc. priced at $699 or $799

  4. Even my $1400 Dell from 2021 runs two 4k external monitors without effort. And I set the bios on it to limit it to 2.2 GHz to stay cool (it could boost to 3.7 GHz but I don't need that). Apple is overpriced by a mile and can only run one external monitor on the 14" "Pro" model. Ridiculous.

  5. My apple fan friends and myself think apple is a lot of bs lately with their bs expensive soldered on ram chips that if even ONE goes bad the machine won't even boot up, can't even boot to an external drive in that case.

  6. I have just bought a MBA M2 16GB + 256GB
It was expensive enough but I will need a 2nd SSD at some point.
This is what I absoletly destest about Apple.
    RAM and SSD not upgradeable.

  7. I have a M1 Max with 32gb of ram, its plenty fast for the work that I do on it, but that said, I'll probably trade this one in just to have a black macbook pro – it looks great. Maybe that is a lesson for Apple, when performance improvements are just for the 1% of users, maybe lean in on design and aesthetic improvements?

  8. What ive taken from all these videos comparing the MBP M2 & M3 is that its a flat out downgrade. Sales were down and they released a new color plain and simple. They didnt have much to offer so they had to dial it back to make room for the M4. The M4 Pro will come out with 8 performance cores etc…

  9. I'm getting frustrated with the complaints about 8GB of unified memory on base models!!! Without telling us what they do on their computer.

I have the base 14" M1 Pro and I'm going to trade it in for the M3 Pro chip with 12‑core CPU, 18‑core GPU with 512GB SSD (I have 8TB split between 3 NVMe enclosures and 12TBs in a NAS)
For work, I do light media (graphics and video) at the moment, so the 14" M3 Pro chip with 12‑core CPU, 18‑core GPU will work when I need more power with an external SSD attached.
For home use, I have the 15" M2 Air base model; for research & entertainment at my desk, Base Model Mac Mini M1 with a cheap 32 inch 2K display.

That being said. I do skip a year or model when it comes to Apple Products. At the Office though? I wish they would upgrade from the 2013 – 2017 iMacs!!! That's $8K plus tax they do not have, due to the economy in 2023. The base model M3 iMac would be perfect, since most of our work is cloud based (Quickbooks Online, Google Suite, online shipping, and Clover)

  10. Love the channel. One slight correction – the base M3 MacBook Pro does NOT have two Thunderbolt 4 ports. It has two Thunderbolt 3 / USB 4 ports. Why? Because the Thunderbolt 4 spec: "Thunderbolt 4 guarantees you can run a pair of 4K displays at minimum and transfer data at up to 32Gbps. With USB4, you are guaranteed only the minimums of running a single display and a 16Gbps data rate." It's a stinky sleight of hand by apple, but you'll see that they list the ports on the M3 (and M2, and M1) computers as "Thunderbolt / USB4", whereas ports on the M3 Pro/Max (and M2 Pro/Max, M1 Pro/Max) they list the ports as "Thunderbolt 4". A very stealthy cost saving. Apple doesn't list those ports as Thunderbolt 3, but that's what they are. You can see apple list the specs here: https://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/specs/

"Two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports with support for:
    Charging
    DisplayPort
    Thunderbolt 3 (up to 40Gb/s)
    USB 4 (up to 40Gb/s)"

You can see more info about the differences between Thunderbolt 3 and 4 here: https://www.windowscentral.com/thunderbolt-4-usb4-usb

  11. Jesus. This is why the US is turning into rent/lease society. I’m a graphics professional who bought an M1 Pro day one and moderately upgraded it to 32gb Ram and the 10 core cpu totaling $2800. I run huge files. It’s still fast. If anything, it’s SOFTWARE that doesn’t catch up to M chips that’s ever a problem…or when Apple does their “updates” they always mess something up. But to upgrade seems absolutely insane, and this is why our society is saving less and less money…because influencers and marketing are making people feel like they have to keep upgrading…. I fully understand economics and consumer purchasing plays the huge role, but personal finance is starting to get completely lost…….

  12. Honestly good or not I am buying m3 pro in few hours. Since it’s time for me to get upgrade from intel based Mac and that too in black it’s just a cherry on top for me

  13. I think you may have missed a couple things you definitely are giving up with the M3 MacBook Pro: one less thunderbolt port (for me that matters), and you still only get support for 1 external display with the M3, you need to go to the Pro for more external monitors still.

  14. Im doing video editing mostly 4k. Currently on windows gaming laptop (i7 16gb) and it’s struggling. Ordered 14’ m2 max with 32gb ram. Still waiting for it to arrive and i saw new m3 coming out 😮. Should i cancel it and go for m3 pro instead m2 max or just leave it as it is? First time mac user here so im not sure to be honest. Appreciate any advice!

    Thanks😅

  15. A little over a month ago (50 days) I bought the following mac: Apple M2 Max with 12-core CPU, 38-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine 64GB unified memory 1TB SSD storage 16-inch XDR Liquid Retina Display XDR² Three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI port, SDXC card slot, headphone jack, MagSafe 3 port 140W USB-C power adapter Magic Keyboard backlit with Touch ID – Ing. Is there much difference with the M3 Max, what is your opinion?

  16. See, there's a thing announced may be a total game-changer here. No, I'm not talking about the Hardware Raytracing which is, by itself, a very good reason to buy one machine with an M3 for 3D gamers, artists and enthusiasts. I am talking about the Dinamic Memory Caching. Using the neglected GPU potential to its best to improve overall performance may give those new macs a nice advantage over their competition, but I would wait for the existing apps to adopt this feature before investing in a top-notch M3. I need a solid benchmarking to reach for a conclusive decision about owning one, since my budget is limited. If someone have already bought one, please tell us about your experience…
