1. What's the best monitor you've ever owned?

2. BenQ has one of the better warranties. A few years back i had a 2K monitor which one day suddenly had a streak of black dots. Tried the refresh procedure but to no avail. Luckily the three warranty was a couple months away from expiring and I still had the receipt. Contacted support and submitted photo of display and receipt. They no longer had it in stock so they shipped me a new model about two days later. They covered shipping and all.

3. Tip for every user of that display:
   I just got this monitor for work, really nice. Though after pairing it with the Mac Studio, it looked strange and I went into the settings: the "sharpness" was on full effect! I put it down significantly and it looks more natural now overall.

6. before buying this one did you considering LG 5K2K model 40WP95C-W ? few months ago I buyed old 2020 iMac 5K and compare to my ASUS ROG 43" ultrawide I decide to value more my ultrawide over 27" iMac screen, so no I just wondering with more pixels is that LG is not a best one on market right now. Ultrawide much nicer to work with this wide ratio

8. I have a mac retina 5k imac from 2019 and im so “#$%&/ mad that it will not connect to the mac studio im going to buy in some weeks (according to google) – Im used to 5k now and it’s beautiful

9. What resolution did you put it on, because on my 4k screen the macos UI elements are like 1080p….

So this display with worse resolution + bigger size means even more, with half less brightness, Exactly double consumption, no camera at all, worse design plastic vs metal only and controling via buttons or some wheel is better? Sorry but I just dont get it, I know they give it to you for free, but you had better display. 🙆‍♂ I am not here for laugh or to be toxic, I just don't understand after full video. But maybe that is okay as well.

16. BenQ are great. I have three BenQ 27inch screens hooked up to a Mac Studio: fantastic and cost-efficient. I'm just looking for a 3-arm wall-fixing display holder for the finishing touch.

20. How the scaling work on this monitor? I heard that there are some issues with scaling on 4k monitor which may effect performance when setting screen scale to work with mac, is this correct?

28. Hi Mark, enjoyed your video. I am currently in the position where my ageing 21ins iMac is no longer supported and am now facing the inevitability of a replacement as I can no longer download certain programmes as the old IOS won’t allow it. For instance I can’t actually use RAW files from my new Fujifilm camera as they are just not recognised! As someone not particularly clever at “tech” my obvious choice is the new M3 24” iMac but I quite like the idea of a 27” display for photo editing which would mean the MacMini and a third party screen. My fear is that if I go for a mix of Apple and Non Apple products I will run into incompatibility issues that would quickly outrun my limited expertise. The cost isn’t so much of an issue although I would struggle to justify the Studio display option. Do you think I am worrying unduly or am I better to stick with the simple option? Even the 24” option is larger than my old one and the resolution is going to be streets ahead so possibly I’m thinking too hard about this? Thanks.

29. Apple Studio is 5K. This one is 4K. There are a lot of fine 4K monitors for less than $999. What am I missing here?

30. I have this monitor, it's a great screen, but as a Photogrpaher, it's super annoying that the contrast is SO far off the Mac displays. A lot of my clients will be viewing images on an iPhone, iPad, MacBook etc, and the BenQ just cant replicate the same contrast, editing black and white images especially I have to go back to my MacBook screen to see how it will read.

31. nits brightness weak. and if you dont have 5k the mac does not perform as well. Designers need pixel perfection!

32. I got one of these and I can't seem to get it bright enough. The office we work in is very bright, and my 2019 iMac 4k retina screen is just so much brighter. Any tips? I've got this thing cranked up and it's still just… dim. Thanks! (now running a Mac Studio M2 Ultra)

33. Why not use them both? The MacBook you're rocking can support two monitors (four if you've got the Max chip)

I am puzzled by how many channels are hyping this monitor for it's color accuracy, but NONE of them mentioning the lack of A-TW polarizer layer, giving the exact same shitty ips glow as pretty much all other cheap monitors. The 27" iMac had an amazing screen and they botched it with the 24" by removing that A-TW layer, but the Benq has the same issue. The only ones I am aware of that have that layer are the LG 32GQ950 and the LG 32UQ85R… or an OLED TV.

35. What about Mac OS scaling? As I understand it, Mac OS isn't designed to scale at non-whole numbers, and so if you want to retain the size of elements you put a lot of load on the GPU and the result is antialiased in a somewhat messy way. On the other hand, if you stick with the scaling appropriate to the Studio Display you end up with icons and menus that are way too large on the 4K 32inch screen. It's a PPI/pixels per inch thing, with Retina being an unusual spec.

36. The reason I never buy AIO like an iMac is to get myself more choices in monitors.

37. Dang, its crazy when you see that all these tech review channels push the same product at the same time. Maybe the BenQ is just that amazing and everyone feels the same way.

39. For me the KVM capability is awesome. I have a setup with my Mac and work PC on my desk with a KVM switch. The amount of wires it takes to make this work is ridiculous! For that reason, a built in KVM is the BOM!! Thanks for the no nonsense review. I couldn't care less about specs. I want to know about the user experience and how someone uses the item. NICE WORK!!

40. Best monitor I have ever owned: Apple 27" Studio Display – My last BenQ died exactly a week after reaching 3 years of operation… (it was a 32" 4K)

45. Matte is a mistake for creatives, I only just learned this after switching from a small 27 inch 1440p IPS 165hz gaming monitor with dci p3 gamut, to a lg c3 42 inch 4k 120hz OLED. I'm a photographer and filmmaker and for the first time I feel like one of my images actually exists (other than my print editorial)

46. Not so fast — 250 nits of brightness when Studio Display have 600. Oooops!
