  1. It’s so weird because I’ve just started having latency issues with my Mac mini m1 base model recently with the new Logic update. Praying it’s not a sign of needing to upgrade but just a bug on Logic.

  2. Hi! Do you remember what version of Cubase you used on this video? I am at 10.5 version and just bought a second hand Mac mini M1. First time using Mac. 🙂

  3. the sound quality the comes out of this computer (at least through headphones) is horrible you could turn it all way up to maximum volume and its still low and the sound isnt crisp.
So i dont know how you could endorse this computer for music production… Thats quite a joke !

  4. Mixing is less issue with project as it can be fixed with setting buffer sample higher. The biggest issue with latency and popping, cracking sound is recording as we need to play project and record instrument at the same time. How is the performance while recording instrument (for example electric guitar)???

  5. hi! how many vst you been runing at the same time without getting slow example: massive/spire/ sylenth 1 all at the same time? cause i always bouncing tracks with vst, otherwise it get slow.

  6. Thanks for the demo … I think the 8GB that I ordered will work for sometime. I ain't a big time professional etc hobby and want to do some pictures for ebay. One main reason for mac mini is the air drop.. pics with iphone onto the mini and then get on the side .. 16 was too much (for me) ..at this time

  7. Hi, I also think this is the best mac m1 video for music production. Congratulations on the idea and implementation. I question whether Logic Pro in 32bit buffer works correctly as Cubase and what RTL calculates latency in 44.1 32bit buffer size? Greetings.🤩🤩🤩

  8. i have like 200 intel vst plugins… will the new M2 machines be able to run them?

Also how long until apple decides to obsolete rosetta and makes ALL of our old projects IRRETRIEVABLE?

  9. So basically, all I need to run is reaper, possibly archetype and Stephen slate drums Ozone mastering that’s it.
Basically just do my own guitar covers and writing stuff. No heavy mixing
So 8 gigs would be enough?
I have another Mac Intel that I usually do on my video stuff on another computer that’s a custom PC that I do the heavier work on so I’m just looking for something to do medium to light projects for music 🎶

  10. Thanks for sharing this, great video. I know you have recommended upgrading to 16 gig and you have the faster 512 SSD but do you think I would get away with just the base m2 Mac mini 8/256 using it for small projects using Logic Pro, say up to 30 tracks, vocals and guitars etc? (Do you think it would still perform ok with the slower 256 ssd?) thanks
