  1. The folio keyboard will actually be a MacBook.
If you detach the iPad, it will act as iPadOS and if attached it will be running macOS and both processors will work in tandem.

  2. Considering my $1000 2021 iPad Pro’s charging only lasted me 18 months and then I paid $250 to replace the charging port (and screen which broke when replacing port) and 6 months later it is crapping out again, Yes on the wireless charging.

  3. If Apple want to kill the competition it should release an M3 iPad Pro which, when connected to a Magic Keyboard, can be switched to MacOS with access to the same on-device data as iPadOS.and vice versa. The device would kill Windows devices.

  4. Every time I've had a portable device that can be used to charge smaller devices/phones, using the device as a charger has degraded the battery's capacity significantly. I suspect using the iPad to MagSafe charge iphones/airpods will cause the iPads battery life to degrade over time significantly.

  5. I hope Apple push the "Home Hub" capability in next updates of ipad mini/basic ipad, making the ipad placebeable in a hub just like Google Pixel does, in the kitchen, room, etc. and charging at the same time, and maybe improving the speakers.

  6. iPad Pro needs some of its limitations in software changed, or I’d say get the air. Why isn’t apples own ide Xcode on iPad pros! It’s crazy the m1 MacBook Air with 8g ram can so why cant at least the m3 2024 run Xcode, whether that is 8g ram still or hopefully rumours are true for 12g ram, which it better have. It’s a so called “ pro” device, make it professional.

  7. "confirmed" and shows a leak that says "might" in the total and then says "we should pretty much be expecting" i appreciate the clickbait bro

  8. Remember, patents don’t mean anything, they are just ideas that Apple don’t want others to “steal”, they do not necessarily translate into an actual product. All of this are just rumours, noting is “confirmed” until Apple announces it.

The iPhone style MagSafe inductive charging makes no sense to put on an iPad, as it’s just a slower and less efficient way to charge the device. The MacBook style MagSafe makes much more sense as that would allow for much faster charging while keeping the usb-c port open for other devices.

Regardless, none of this will change much when it comes to the iPad. Apple should stop wasting resources to give the iPad more pointless gimmicks, and focus on fixing the software in stead. I’d much rather Apple give us a proper file manger, and a proper external display support, like the MacBooks have.

  9. Having an iPad Air 5 and an M1 MacBook Air I still see no compelling reason to upgrade either for my consumer/semi-pro needs. Especially when I paid $539 for the iPad and $799 for the MacBook. Basically $1338 for the best of both practically speaking.

  10. I feel like magsafe on iPad doesn't make sense and it's better to not have glassback if reverse wireless charging means glass back, OLED is a nice upgrade, they should position the camera correctly, change the aspect ratio to 16:9 to make it closer to a tiridtional laptop and they should also consider adding apple pencil slot to the bookcover keyboard case, or the back, samsung and Microsoft does it smart you can secure your stylus while iPad having it on the side means you can easily knock it off and it will fall, samsung has the best implementation being able to secure the spen, free out of the box and doesn't require a case to secure it

  11. I'd be excited about iPad Pro upgrades if there was software that could take advantage of all that CPU power. DaVinci Resolve is the only thing that comes to mind and we've seen the full version in a hack. But otherwise? Final Cut Pro is watered down a bit. But that's pretty much it. Get me the apps and I'll finally upgrade my 9.7" 2016 iPad Pro….

  12. Imagine wasting for battery life of your iPad on recharging other devices. Just stupid. Also electricity bills are high enough without wirelessly charging a iPad as well.
