  1. Unpopular opinion: I hate all this multitasking stuff, you spend most of the time arranging, moving and resizing stuff instead of actually doing stuff. To me stage manager is useless, ugly and slow. I'm happy I can just leave it off.

  2. Stage manager is cluttered, confusing, and redundant.

The pre existing multitasking is SO much better. Having full screen apps with either Slide Over or Split screen options is more than enough in my opinion, and is both less confusing and more intuitive than Stage Manager.

  3. Thanks for this video on Stage Manager. I have loved Stage Manager since it was released in iPadOS 16. You have showed me how to turn on the high resolution display mode for more display space – thanks. My 13 inch iPad Pro M1 is my primary computing platform these days now with stage manager.

  4. These videos about the stage manager are making me feel so sad and left out of such a useful feature. I got the ipad air 4 and the stage manager is not available on it. For students like me at least a version where we can at least open 3 windows would be very helpful for reading, writing and cross referencing at the same time. Some of us do not belong to the group which can buy a new ipad every single year.

  5. I don’t seem to find a stage manager icon and I already checked control center. I don’t see it at all and I made sure that I am on iPadOS 17 beta.

  6. Most annoying thing ist that you cant play 2 sounds at the same time, like spotify silent in the background and a video or something. I need that

  7. I am seriously considering that if side loading/3rd party stores and significant usability improvements aren’t made to the multitask(like the 4 window limit) my next tablet is not going to be an iPad. I have used iPads since the first one came out and now it is just getting frustrating dealing with the Apple imposed limitations. The Pro devices have no business being call pro with these limitations. Shoot let me install macOS and I’d be happier at this point. I love the form factor but they are really hurting the platform.

  8. I love my iPad – all good!
But as long as we need 20 minute videos explaining how multi-window workflow is supposed to work, there is something seriously bent in the design.

  9. I’m with you on getting rid of the typing bar… until I come to needing autocomplete (name, phone number, email, credit card etc). Is there a way of doing that without the typing bar?

  10. i would like to play a youtube playlist and lower the volume to like 15% but I also want to have twitch up so I can watch a stream and the stream's volume i want to be at 80%… how do i get both apps to play their videos and adjust each volume accordingly? I can't figure it out. I'm coming from a samsung galaxy tab s7+ that was able to do this.

  11. I bought the MX Master 3S mouse to use with my iPad with Stage Manager and I cannot get the scrolling to work well at all. I've tried enabling and disabling the scroll click thing and it just does not work well. It either stutters and then goes super far or it barely moves at all from a big physical scroll. Is anyone else having this problem or do I have a defective mouse?
