  2. I do game, but I’ve never seen the appeal of gaming laptops, I just use a desktop pc for that. For laptops I always go Mac. If I want to game on the elsewhere, I’ll use an iPad or a switch, 3ds, or even my phone. Although I find myself gaming on the go less and less nowadays

  3. Really, really, clear and hugely useful informed and informative exposition. Above all, concise and to the point without the usual garble of technical numbers, data and performance statistics which mean little of nothing to of us that actually need advice rather than endorsing preconceived ideas. Many thanks, Josh. From a truly confused place, I had made up my mind which to buy by the end of the video. 👍😃

  4. Apple do not believe that you can have a touch screen in a laptop or that anyone would want such a hybrid! Serves no purpose to their way of thinking.

Just get the M2 Max Macbook Pro 16” as the starter laptop if it is your 1st laptop!

  5. Your channel is awesome bro! Such detailed explanation, extensive research, and paying attention to what the people really want and need. Keep up the good work bro!

  6. Hello, I am looking for a laptop, Windows or MacBook. I am confused about which one I should choose, I am using an HP laptop, and this is a very bad experience for me. I am a researcher, and the whole time spent on MS Word searching research articles. please help me to suggest which one is better for me because I did not know whether MacBook comes with MS Office.

  7. I happen to like the fact that i can upgrade the parts in my windows laptop as opposed to an Apple laptop. when you buy an Apple laptop you get what you get unless you configue it at the time of purchase however if you are upgrading a pc laptop parts for it are a lot cheaper

  8. Mac buyers need to be sure to know what they can and cannot do with MAC.
Mac has one use case that beats PC. It is for one who does not game, and only need a laptop for long battery life for media consumption and for Video encoding/Media creation and money is not concern
out side of this specific use case PC is just better. For example
    1. if you need a laptop for only battery life and media consumption(Not media creation), there are plenty that will provide the same battery life for these tasks. Examples are LG gram(1.2KG for 16 inch and lighter for 14 inch) and others (thinkpad T/E/L ).
    2. If you are into Gaming or even occational gaming it is not even a quesiton, you need to stick to PC.
    3. If you are into Content creation and are not bothered about battery life. Then again a PC is far more powerfull than a MAC will ever be.
So as a thumb rule if you are in that small niche wher you are a content creator and also use the laptop for long batterylife when using it as media consumer, only then MAC holds the edge. As of now, even though PC has far more powerfull for media creation, it comes with a trade off of losing batterylife.
You also need to remember that MAC Niche comes with a heavy premium over PC

  9. First of all you need to ask yourself – do you really need a laptop and why? If mobility is of paramount for you then I’d go for Apple, hands down. For everyone else I’d go for a desktop PC/Mac mini (nothing beats the proper 4k monitor, proper keyboard/mouse, proper desk and a chair). Apart from a small group of hardcore gamers that simply can’t travel without gaming, the gaming laptops are nearly always a bad choice – loud, expensive, far inferior parts to desktop counterparts, horrible residuals, impossible to upgrade and with next to no battery. For those in crammed city apartments/tiny dorms that still want to game, I’d go for Apple and a gaming console/geforce now.

  10. I agree with everything he said in the video, up until the last bit: if you have 800+ buy a MacBook. There are people that I know who just can’t get along with macOS OR windows for that matter, so getting along with the operating system is a big criteria to meet, for me at least. Sure Apple may have the advantage of allowing you to run windows on their laptops, and that might solve the problems, however it’s a really tedious task to try and dual boot windows and macOS, and people who are less “tech literate” and are only buying the laptop for casual use will have an extremely hard time doing so

  11. If I'm doing basic stuff as you stated at the end of your video, why is Apple a better choice being so much more expensive (even if I have the money)?

  12. I have been looking to replace my HP AMD R9-9420 laptop for about 12months, but I am unimpressed. I have ruled out a MacBook due to upgrade ability, also been looking at Works laptop which I love the idea of but so expensive. I have upgraded my HP laptop from 4GB to 16GB of RAM and the HDD to SSD, this has speeded it up but it struggles to play 1080p – 4K videos. I also built a gaming PC with a AMD RYZEN 7700X CPU & a RX6750XT GPU which I think has spoilt me, but I want a laptop for ease of use because using an iPad for EXCEL is not a great experience. Great video. 👍🏻👍🏻

  13. Before you even tested , the left side silver one looks so much prettier than the right white one. Why’s the enclosing (screen and keyboard’s) gap so big? And then I saw the Apple logo. 😂 id choose the Mac cuz it looks so much better

  14. maybe a word about second hand macs… the new M chips mean more people are upgrading and there are some decent cheap old macbooks… this one I'm using is 2015 mbp, which is still great.
