Thanks to SpaceX and Elon Musk, my dreams of high-speed rural internet as a kid are now becoming reality!
Until Starlink, I never imagined that I would be able to live on my 40-acre farm in rural central Kentucky with high-speed internet. Providers like Windstream and Hughesnet will likely never run high-speed internet to areas like mine because of the low population.
However, the best part about Starlink is bringing internet connectivity to isolated parts of the world where no options currently exist.
What internet speeds can you expect from Starlink?
In the short term, average download speeds should keep increasing to around 300 Mbps by the end of this year. Long term, SpaceX and Elon Musk aim to deliver 10 Gbps internet speeds which is insane to think about.
