According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S23, code-named Project Diamond, is the first batch to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 flagship processor, which is a large-scale commercial product of Qualcomm in 2023.
Qualcomm has announced the next-generation Snapdragon 5G modem, the Snapdragon X70, which will be integrated into the Snapdragon 8 Gen2.
It is reported that the Snapdragon X70 supports 10Gbps 5G peak download speed, and also brings new advanced features, such as Qualcomm 5G AI kit, Qualcomm 5G ultra-low latency kit and four carrier aggregation.
In addition to integrating the Snapdragon X70, the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 will also be handed over to TSMC for foundry, and its power consumption performance is expected.
In terms of screen, Samsung has applied the under-screen camera technology on the Galaxy Z Fold3. The latest Galaxy S22 series is still a hole-punch screen solution. It is not ruled out that Samsung will use the under-screen camera technology on the Galaxy S23.
