By using a usb dongle, you can use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto with an Android car infotainment. I currently have this setup in my 335i and my C63, and it works pretty well. This brings life back into the interior of my 11 year old BMW, and makes daily driving it even easier. This type of dongle should work for anyone using an Android infotainment with at least Android 4.4.2.
