  4. Does this override the OEM screens permanently, or does it allow you to switch between the new SW and the original screen using something like a press/hold of the menu button?

  13. So what happens when you go reverse? Does the screen with the sensor still pops up? Like the back up sensor beeping along with the screen with the green/yellow/red warning?

  15. Does this mean we don’t have to worry about CCC or CIC anymore? My CCC system is broken and I’m looking to upgrade, would this still work for me even though my CCC system is broken? I was thinking it would be fine if I’m only going to be using the CarPlay software anyways.

  21. It’s much easier and better to install a new Android touch screen display unit. No extra “box” or “idrive controller “ connector. This product is over engineered !

  24. if you have trouble unplugging removing the center trim/vent piece (hazards, door lock, DTC), you can push the controls from the insides out towards you. it comes out in a cube/square shape fairly easily. this makes unplugging and reconnecting it so much easier.
