  2. Great video! Do you know if this would fit in a 2013 BMW 128i? On Aliexpress it says it's just for 04 – 12 models but it looks just like the 2013.

  8. Hi, I own an E82 118D and I'm planning on this being the first ever modification I've ever done. I'm generally not great and doing this like this myself, but would you say this process is challenging at all? Or was it all explained easily?

    Furthermore, does the satnav on the unit require my phone to be connected? Since on long drives my phone will often die and I don't want to be stranded hahha. Also, does the Apple Carplay mean bluetooth won't work with my Android phone? Was anything else needed to do this that wasn't included on the kit you purchased? (Other then screws, and the dremel).

  10. I am looking to buy this but i got some questions
    1. Does the receiving for fm radio works as good as the original bmw radio?
    2. Is there a line out for an amplifier ?
    3. What about the volume for the radio itself? Is it louder/same/less loud then the original radio?

  12. Great video, thanks for posting. Did you need a separate optical canbus decoder for your installation, or was everything included in the kit? Any problems with parasitic drain or need to fiddle to get things working, or was it basically plug and play? Btw. Do you know what radio/speaker option package the car was optioned with (ie S663 BMW Professional Radio, S676 HiFi speaker system, can look up by vin)

  15. Hey. I just installed the same in my bmw e87. Everything working, but aint got any sound. In the back of oem cables my old oem player uses optical cable. But the bundle that follows the kit you bought have no optical cable in the big connector😬 any tips?
