AMD just did that today.!
After this video, I am kinda put off building a gaming pc now lol. These prices are ridiculous, it’s looking more likely I will get an Xbox series x instead
Will this be as bad as in 2021
I liked!
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Guess who is not affected by it. Yes that's right: ME!!! I upgrade every 10 years or so.
I bought my 6750 XT a few months ago and am very happy with it. Done with Nvidia after sticking with them for a decade and a half. I will run my system as-is until the fall of 2026 and we'll see where the market is at then. Rooting for Intel as well with their ARC cards.
I lile Paul's humour
Woah, hold up. How you know I i have a trust fund? 👾
6:58 LOL What We Do in the Shadows (2014)
A major difference in this vs the last shortage ,crypto, was that their was a direct line from purchasing a GPU to profits. This one is being driven by investors craze. Yes we are seeing raw material going to companies via GPU that no one here would ever buy. That’s being followed by start ups buying the card we do want under the promise to investors that they will se return. But that’s the thing, the last shortage was a gold rush we’re their was an obvious and short path to money. With this shortage it’s the promise to”Investors” that AI will be the next infinite dollar industry with no clear path to reach it.
Gaming GPUs are less efficient for large computing compared to Tesla or even Quadro
To be honest AMD is doing a terrible job overall at being the 'good guy' on the market who cares about customers, even though the bar is quite low thanks to Intel and Nvidia.
let nvidia and amd fade away and let intel be the one to make gpu's
Sure a "GPU SHORTAGE". And by "shortage" you mean Nvidia artificially restricts "supply" to raise the prices. Might as well call them the Debeers of GPUs
Please stop spreading FUD. You are only helping those awful companies who are in bed together (nvidia-amd), sell overpriced new gpus and 3 year old gpus at almost their original msrp. Please be smarter than that.
You should change the name of the channel from Paul's Hardware to Paul's Soyface 😂
yay! gamers have a new enemy! Now they can FINALLY leave the crypto miners alone! YAY!!!
More drama. wink wink 😁
Paul’s that director guy from the early y2k’s adult videos right? That’s a big career change.
Intel should not drop something even lower end, just drop the price of the A770 even further so they become the defacto gamer entry cards
While I love the tech news (in general) I'm def here for Paul's witty word play while delivering the tech news (and his opinions of things)
M.2 usb enclosures (even for 2230 which are up to 2tb now) have gotten pretty cheap. maybe making your own is more reliable than a pre-made external now?
AMD and Nvidia are colluding. AMD has missed too many opportunities to drastically increase their market share in the pc gpu market. It really doesn’t make sense either way. I’m just out of ideas.
Paul having just dropped the tech news waking up yesterday to see the newest GN video: O.O
I'm done with the industry anyway. I've got a 2080ti. I'll run that thing at 1440 until I can't, and then get a budget card. I'm done with high end PC hardware. The last 3 years have shown the absolute greed of these companies.
Amd and nvidia are undoubtedly (in my opinion) in close communication with releases to make sure one another don’t surpass each other at certain points on tech. It’s 90% about money through cooperation with releases and 10% a performance fight.
Gofund me for the neighbor but not for the one whose house collapsed. Internet 101 compassion is about who you know
come on Paul, time to address GN latest video
What is your take on the GN vs. LTT Video?
Just Wholesome, thanks a million Paul
This is what jayztwocents was talking about the other day. Have you just copied?
Any shortage just opens the door to newcomers. I hope Intel and others start ramping up their own GPU's.
Where does this news originate?
GPU manufacturers no doubt.
Rick was such a cool dude to meet and talk to at LTX. Hooefully everything works out in the end for his situation. Awesome of you to shine some light on that.
RDNA 4, 2 is already mind blowing to me! 🙂 amd not going head to head with nvidia is kinda the way I like it. sure the best cards from amd is a bit pricey, but not! like nvidia, or there crazy AI towers. I like apu, coz I honestly don't need that much power, so enough, and for this big cards… one day they will be as small as a nano chip. can't wait! but I promised myself to never use nvidia again
30k for a damn TV…?
It’s annoying that Nvidia who have been nothing but complete pieces of shit, are given a get out of jail free card. I was enjoying that they were suffering and loaded with stock that they can’t get rid of. Now that this has happened, it’s a real kick in the teeth to gamers
