EASIEST WAY TO Migrate Windows to Another Drive, FOR FREE!

EDIT (June ’23): I have made a new video using a different approach and set of software. Still free.

EDIT (March ’23): Just because VirusTotal has one AV flag the file does not mean it is accurate or reliable. These files have all been directly from MiniTool and I have scanned them with multiple AVs including Malwarebytes, BitDefender, and some enterprise AVs as well, they are clean and safe as far as I can test.

EDIT (Jan ’23):
I have replaced 11.4 with 11.5 since some people have had issues with AVS.

EDIT (Nov ’22):
I have done some testing with Partition Wizard 11.4
It also allows migration for free and doesn’t run into the 0% issue as far as my testing has shown.

    EDIT: I also understand that this isn't working smoothly for everyone and unfortunately that's a result of using an older release of a piece of software. If I discover any other way to do this same process for free I'll definitely make another video for it. Until then the best advice I can give is to clone the drives with another computer if possible.

  2. Hey, I did all the steps as mentioned but, the partition wizard doesn’t seem to come up.

    I’m sitting in front of my monitor, waiting for something to show up. Can someone please let me know what’s happening

  3. I need to move my OS from my 120gig SSD to my new SSD that just came in the mail. Don’t have a second slot for the new SSD either. So hopefully after watching this it’ll help

    However after I followed all of the steps I noticed that my C drive is still in my old HDD and I have my D drive on my SSD which they both have the same exact files, what should I do?

  16. I did everything step by step and now nothing launches I can’t play my games and I can’t even open chrome. After doing the transfer I noticed there extra files that wasn’t there before and I can’t delete the files or open it because it keep saying “files are restricted and locked”. I don’t recommend doing this from my experience.

  20. My ssd died and it had windows installed on it so I had to install windows on my hard drive. I bought a nvme ssd and used this video to migrate windows THANK-YOU this was so helpful and worked like a charm.
