  1. You know, there's a saying that there's always a weirdo in every crowd. While that's still true, nowadays, there's usually 5 or 6 in every crowd. Keep pushing good stuff and disregard the crazies. I find your channel very informative and most of the time, on point with the real. Great job once again.

  2. I for one am all about microsoft trying new stuff. Duo is very Niche so might as well try crazy stuff and make patents off of it. IF it works they get that patent money when others want to use it too. People don't realize that though windows phone failed there purchase of nokia at the time got them all kinds of patent money. So im all in for the Duo being absolutely crazy and experimental. One of the reasons i got the duo was because i was soo bored of regular smart phones. Try all the things Microsoft!

  3. Multi core performance of CPU on a smart phone doens't matter that much. Most games can't utilize several core and if you run two/three app at once, the lower performance core can handle that easily. It only make sense on application that actually ultilize several cores, like image/video processing.
So I think this google chip doesn't make sense for gamers.

  4. I truly hope Microsoft does not do the wrap around deal, I bought my Duo because it is two separate screens and rarely span stuff across both screen. Something small I wish they would do is make it so instead of your background picture get spanned across both screen you can put a different picture on each screen like the old picture lockets, Left screen would be a pic of your daughter the right screen your son, or left screen a pic of your Xbox or Playstation and right screen a pic of your Nintendo Switch.

  5. 0:38 The Tensor is co-designed with Samsung. Not directly based off a Exynos, no, that has not been confirmed, denied, or even hinted at, so it's not likely, but Samsung did help out with making it. Probably helped with the less AI based stuff, looking at what Google is flexing with this chip, which seems to be mostly on stuff that Google's AI and such can now do on a dedicated SoC instead of a Qualcomm made chip.

  6. I hope Microsoft is smart enough to know they have something worth investing in it's future. Besides the Fold is on 3 and its getting better and sales are up but the Fold 1 had major issues

  7. Wrap-around-cum-cover display. Hmmm. That would be very cool. Thanks Shane. I hope, given the abysmal outcome of the first product launch I was waiting for this month (the new WRX), perhaps the second will make up for it.

  8. I like to be told what level of confidence exists behind tech rumors and leaks. I've never had a problem with your channel, and I like that you're spending time addressing it.

  9. I think the only thing they need to do to get a similar effect, is move by a mm or less the points where the hinge connects to the screens on each side so that the rotation point is offset and the two screens would be closer to each other when flat but still allow folding on both sides

  10. I would prefer the Duo 2 to be built really solid and be a lot heavier, the screen gap for me is fine I like it rather than a flimsy looking wrap around that will crease break or s distort sooner rather than later over time. Bring back the real good quality builds like they used to make.

Solid, practical but very workable something tangible you would want to actually work with/use not pussyfoot around & handle with care all the time whilst just holding the damn thing…

  11. Is it possible that Google is somehow able to lock, or throttle back the custom processor performance remotely, and with the background knowledge that these Pixel models are not officially registered devices, or official released thus giving inaccurate and varied test bench values….there seems to be so many hardware lockouts, and controls from the manufactures these days……. is it possible that Microsoft may have liked a future Duo device to have one flowing folding screen, and there just not convinced on the current flexing screen materials that true glass provides, are they waiting for the ability to bond flexible transparent glass to hard glass…..or possibly, a screen pixel mesh that is so precise that twin glass panels when unfolded flat, it's edges so close that there is no discernible join to the human eye ……who knows what future technology is in store for us? ……..TCL are a huge hardware panel company, another is BOE which is right on the cutting edge of screen tech, …..i wonder who will bring out a finished robust roll-able device (i know Oppo has created roll-able screen device, but may not ever bring it to general public release)……..thanks NR

  12. I think wrapping around the hinge would effect the durability of the screen and hinge. Designing the hinge to machine fit an extended screen to lessen the gap would be structurally better imo. The design of the phone is already ridiculously thin already and was prone to damage if not handled with care. The hinge on the surface duo is the only part that wasn't susceptible to damage and just suffered from scratches.
