I use an SE 2 and have been facing heating issues since I've updated to iOS 17 as well.
Please stick with the S23. S23+ , S23 Ultra. Iphones are just " herd " phones.
My 13 pro max still giving me two days of battery life after two years. Not going to upgrade anytime soon
I saw someone doing 5 generations all were about the same temp
But how much is too hot for the battery temperature itself. I recently bought an 8 Pro and I can feel it getting warm in my hand when I take a photo or do a simple task. So I installed a battery temperature tester and found that the battery reaches 40 degrees Celsius in a normal room. Does this reduce the battery life? or is it ok overall? I am looking for an answer. If it's not ok, I can return it while I still have time.
Sweet now i can cook an egg on it 😂😂😂
IPhone 16 will be all plastic. Oh, do you want metal frame? 999$ please
I have NOT had any overheating issues with my new iPhone 15 Pro. 🤷🏻♂
Careful might explode on airplaness
Maybe the AI in the iphone has gone rogue and is messing with its creators….
I know a lot of people going caseless this year because of the look but is the heating problem still to hot when it’s not n a case?
Is there a heat issue with all three models of the 15? 15, 15 Max, and 15 Pro?
Fire
So if I have an XR which one should I upgrade to? 14pro max or 15 pro max?
My iPhone 15 pro max with 512 GB and it gets very hot even with no app running.
This issue could be related to places where cellphone reception is poor. I think there is a software glitch and it has to do with the reception and software.
since ios 17.0.3 my phone drain faster and overheat
All my andriod phones does it…. 😂… Apple really is at its peak.
My 15 pro max got yesterday is hotter than normal but didn’t overheat
I wish they go back to stainless steel because technically the iPhone 15 pro max has bendgate…. OtterBox users beware
Even after the supposed update that should've fixed the overheating, I still can not FaceTime someone without it overheating
It’s been more than 10 years and apple still do not know how to build a phone correctly… the whole corp concept of making business is just “sell trash at gold prices”.
my 13pm is hot either.
My 13 has been running hot after the last update, so yeah I would say it’s a software issue
Not new even some old phones may be getting hot. I have iphone 13 and after updating to iOS 17 it's heating despite they had update to solve. It's not as crazy but can still feel the difference before I had updated
A mobile phone with unnecessary glass backs, priceless!
Mine is 15 pro max
Day 1, no hot
Oct13, no hot
My 14 pro has been hot since the update. It doesn’t always happen but I have noticed it more now
Apple releases the new iPhone Pro and Pro Max and has a special feature called iPhone TEPANYAKI – you can cook eggs while charging.
I think is software related. I have a iPhone 13 Pro and I have never experienced overheating until the last update. It happened while I was listening to Apple Music cleaning my house and when I grabbed it to change the music it was extremely hot.
Maybe Instagram is sending to much information to Facebook.
Apps will cause overheating by excessive internet traffic.
Facebook used to do this quite a bit causing overheating on phones.
Battery health is my concern…last two IPhone battery lasted one year and the health 75%. Normal use and charge. How come the chip gets better but the battery has been the same for years. They could make it last a lot longer but Apple keeps chipping away at it.
Didn't experience this over heating yet
Definitely will not upgrade to iPhone 15. Not worth it for a slightly better camera or USB C.
My 14 plus does this and has since I bought it
It’s Instagram app.
my iphone 13 pro max was doing basically exactly what yall are describing, from my smart 5:21 dashcam app “nexar pro” i would grab my phone in the morning and it would be scorching hot and down to like 15% battery from being fully charges 4 hours ago, and my battery usage showed nexar app, i deleted it and my phone has been completely back to normal since then, it was a recent ios update or app update that caused the problem.
is that a new feature of iphones – It shold be called Iphone Pro Oven
lol
"Winter is coming"
It's the hottest iPhone yet!!! 🔥😂
I got those issues back then with a rooted samsung s5 back then with cyanogen mod but my battery dropped from 90% to 0% and the whole phone were wiped the second time it happend to me the battery died but thx god I had a replacement battery.
I have an iPhone pro max for a week and something similar to MKBHD happened to me. I sat on a chair, the phone fell of my pocket on the ground and a crack appeared on the back glass, it is more like an half moon at the bottom of the phone so it doesn't look as bad as the one on MKBHD phone but still it is very noticeable… I expected the glass to break over time but from bigger falls.
After I deleted instragram all my overheating problems went away
