Its back for another video! This iPhone 12 Pro Max was found on the side of a highway being left for several days in the rain. Likely also being ran over at least once. In the last video we tracked down its owner and reached out to him in several ways, but 6 months on and he never claimed the phone. So being left with it I am taking it upon myself to fix it up!

I've found a phone 3 times worse then that. Everything was shredded and destroyed except the main board
here is when i somehow found my pink 5C and restored it
in 2015 i lost my 5C but in 2018 my daughter when we went to Çeşme found a pink 5C and i said "well,its best to return it to the owner after fixing it" and it had a swollen battery,a clogged charging port,cracked screen,and a lot of sand in it,i completely took it apart and deep cleaned it and replaced the battery but before replacing the screen i said "i wonder who owned this" so i turned it on and to my surprise and shock it was MY 5C,and i remembered i last saw that phone in that beach and said "i just found my İPhone" and yay!

I noticed that you didn't clean the front camera with the Faceid too good it still looked to have gunk around it
i thought this guy would bring up a just buy a new phone its better to buy than replace the parts
You can replace TrueDepth Camera (front facing camera), they cost around $188. And Apple SPOT Customer Support can register it to the phone. I assume Hugh Jeffreys has problems repairing new iphones because he is not in the US so it's harder to get hold of genuine parts.
"Abandoned and Unclaimed" is a nice way of saying, "Phone was stolen or purposely damaged and reported as "lost" in order to get a new one" meaning that if the owner claims the device, it would be fraud and they would have to then turn it into the insurance company who would question how and where they found it and why the device had so much damage to it if it was "lost" rather than stolen. And after seeing that amount of dirt and rust, I'd also abandon and unclaim that device. The cost of repairing including labor, time, effort, frustration is simply not worth it. Just have Apple Care+ with Loss and Theft.
