  2. My 13700k (undervolted with stock 5300mhz frequency) on 32gb 3800mhz DDR4 with the same exact settings in Spiderman Miles Morales gets 125 fps average (snowing and running through the city) using 101w CPU power

  3. these tests seem flawed,, The RTX4090 in the 7800X3D especially in Returnal is using 11% more while both CPU's remain in the 19-21% usage, which points to a different bottleneck somewhere.

  4. Is there any difference If I choose to play in 4K? Im thinking about a new build, the 7700x is actually the CPU im intersted in because of the price. I use to play with an RTX 4080.

  5. I’m no expert and trying to get advice as I’m building my own PC currently, but aren’t these two processors a major bottleneck for the 4090?

  6. Thanks for this! Would love to see and undervolted 7700x vs the 7800x3d. I think a -30 curve optimizer can bring power down a little and should get similar results to stock 7700x.

  7. I honestly don't get how the results can be so underwhelming in those games at only 1080p with those kind of specs. I'm not knowledgeable about all the games used for testing here, but some looked like they weren't running at max quality (could be wrong about that one, but seeing some "High" and "Medium" options among others at Epic is kinda sus).

Were some parts perhaps damaged / fairly used in the setup ? Or was some extra factor possibly causing a bottleneck ?

  8. im thinking about getting a new pc and was looking at the 7700x but was hearing it hits 95 degrees. i guess thats only under heavy cpu loads because the way im going to have to configure the radiator is on the top of the case as exhaust and was tripping if i would be gaming at 95 degrees plus getting all that hot air from the gpu.

  9. This test is a complete waste of time and doesn't give the average gamer any real information. How many people actually buy 4090's? Few to none, except for YouTubers and content creators. And for those who DO, why would they be playing at 1080p? They wouldn't. To test the 7800X3D vs. 7700X to see REAL results, use a graphics card that most people would own. I have an RX 6750 XT, and can assure everyone reading this that the X3D CPU will NOT outperform the 7700X, because I would be GPU bound like most people. The extra cost of the X3D chip is a waste of money for most people. It's a gimmick.

  10. Would love to see a few more games added. especially Jedi survivor. maybe far cry 6 as well? and maybe a total averages and 1% lows of all games combined at the end? that would be cool 🙂

  11. I bought 7700x for less than $300. where I live 7800x3d is $550. not really worth it to pay almost double the price to get 10 percent better performance in some games and even less performance in a few other games.
